3 Americans die in private-jet crash in France

Three Americans died when a private jet crashed at a small airport in the south of France, a local official said Friday.

Two men, aged 24 and 51, and a 30-year-old woman were on board the plane when it crashed at Castellet airport, said Didier Couve, spokesman for the Prefecture of the Var department.

The three were the only people on the plane, Couve said.

A spokeswoman for the airport said emergency services are on site.

The 30 year olds name was Gwen, she was a friend of mine. Although it may be the type of "news" you are used to, it's still sad. Please respect the situation.

    Well @Rascal Rabble
These are 'fillers' to avoid touching on news which may cause us unnecessary worry and tax our brains. And there is a lot going out there which would.
This particular news though is rather sad as all news of loss of life are.

      Bastille day is tomorrow, Jeff.
      (Watch out for mimes!)
Today is Friday the 13th, and it looked like it was true in this case judging from the topic of this thread...
And if Jason is getting out, no summer camp this year...

Rascal. you are too dense to understand let alone read the article. You are in a perpetual state of confusion, most likely drug induced.

I can't even believe people are asking why this would be news and suggesting that it's not serious or important. That 30 year old female is a resident of nj and friend of mine. To some people, it's not a big deal, but to those who knew her..as well as the others, it's a big deal and news to us. And when do you not see plane crash stories in the news? Especially when it's involving people from our country. Have some respect for those who lost their lives and for the family and friends who are grieving! Those who have nothing better to do then sit here being negative are disgusting examples of a human being. I certainly hope people are more considerate and respectful when it's you or your loved ones time to go..
