U.S. military ship fires on small boat in Persian Gulf; 1 killed
A U.S. military supply ship fired at a small boat in the Persian Gulf on Monday after it came too close to the ship, apparently killing one person on board, two U.S. officials said.
The incident happened near Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates.
The crew of the USNS Rappahannock verbally warned the small boat and fired at least one warning shot before the boat, described as a small white pleasure craft, was targeted with .50-caliber machine gun fire, the Navy said.

We have surrendered our civil liberties and freedom as Americans welcomed everywhere compromised our national interests fighting senseless wars and creating enemies in proxy for an 'ally'.

weren't our allies bought a long time ago? I view this as a move towards one world Government, which will encompass an end to organized religion that will be replace by that said Government.

Pleasure craft...? sad if innocents were killed...Navy tried to warn them... do you know why pirates dont come near chinese or russian ships anymore?.. they r not kind enough to warn they just open fire. We have to be on point...protect our people...I would have done the same thing if I was the commanding officer. Check out film clips of what the Soviets did to innocents in Afganistan in 1981... they air struck villages full of women and children...up to 2million casualties..you are follish to ever say america is doing anything close to this... we try to avoid civilians . Our Navy alone could destroy the entire mideast in short time...remember NATO is also under our control... so if we were truly "evil imperialists" we could go for it! USS Cole was the first thing I thought of when I saw this we lost 17 inncoent sailors that day it was a very sad day I'm happy they protected themselves

Incident 16 km from shore and small craft parallell at 8 km distance.
Something amiss in this incident as 8km is a damn long ways to fire a 50 cal., a very long ways no mayter how good a gunnery cree is maning it, unless electronic sighted and still long ways
