Russia, China veto sanctions on Syria

Russia and China vetoed a new U.N. Security Council resolution Thursday that would have imposed new sanctions on the Syrian regime.

Western countries have been pushing for a resolution that threatens sanctions against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad if government forces don't stop attacks.

However, Russia has opposed any international effort that would blame, punish or change the leadership of the Syrian government. Russia and China have vetoed two previous draft resolutions in the U.N. Security Council, leading to accusations that Russia is protecting the Syrian regime.

The resolution also calls for renewing the 300-member U.N. observer mission for 45 days after it was suspended because of violence.

Russia has put forward its own draft, which "strongly urges all parties in Syria to cease immediately all armed violence in all its forms."

U.S. President Barack Obama called his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to discuss the Syrian situation, the White House said in a statement Wednesday.

"They noted the differences our governments have had on Syria, but agreed to have their teams continue to work toward a solution," it said.

Already many phony pastors have been exposed and imprisoned. Nearly a dozen Roman Catholic Archdiosese have been bankrupted. Several US States are challenging the church's tax-excempt status. Even the Italian government is siezeing property horded by the church.
WATCH AS ORGANIZED RELIGIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD CONTINUE TO WEAKEN... and praise the Lord when governments deal the death blow to those who tangle God's name with messes men have made. (wars, etc)
Write your congressperson: Abolish organized religions so we can finally have some peace for a change.

Wow, a lot of ignorant "all hat, no cattle" cowboys on here. The US's interests in Syria are not concerned with saving lives. This whole conflict is about money. Money from resources, projects that require geo-political control, and much larger macro concepts that no one on here seems open to attempting to understand. Those of you who come on here taking on the mantle of Western moral superiority are pretty much clowns. The intelligence community thinks of you as such and is delighted when you willing gorge yourself on the propaganda they feed you. The US and NATO allies have been planning and are fomenting this chaos. If you don't understand this to be the reality, your opinion can't and won't be taken seriously by anyone who is actually paying attention, using critical reasoning, and being objective.

The reason Russia and China don't want sanctions is because they are regimes that have a history of being comfortable with mass homicide and ethnic cleansing....in a nut shell, they are OK with that.

Why don't we pull everything out of all the countries. Not just military, but aid as well. I feel for the people of the other countries but it's time they stood on their own two feet. Just like the people who have lost jobs and homes right here in the US. We could help them a lot more if we stopped the aid to other countries. It's time we took care of our own. Charity begins at home! We have enough here in America to sustain us Americans. We are in debt and who holds our largest debt, China! We got there by helping other countries and greed. There are people here in the US that need help. It is time to help our own and let other countries do the same.

Most of the destruction meddling by the US has to do with energy corridors & resource theft, along with the installation of a US friendly puppet.
The rest of these abuses has to do with securing the neighborhood for Israel.

The Chinese and Russian governemtnts have abused their citizens for decades. Why should they show any moral concern for Syria. Their prime interest is their own weatlh and power. One day they will definetlely see the error of their ways.

The United States takes jobs from Americans and outsources them to China.

This is how China repays the United States.

Don't like communist China? Then stop buying Chinese made goods.

@Andry 12:26. Good points, and ne too. Actually, I'm waiting for the invasion and occuoation of Venezuela. Once the last occupyable nation on earth is finally occupied, the CIA can focus on cleaning US up.
Already over 700 CIA agents have been brought back home to Denver from Iraq and have helped the FBI take-down well over 100 fraudulent MDs involved in a nationwide scheme pushing drugs on the disabled for profit.
Once Iran and Venezuela are occupied, the US people will be next. Better go ahead and clean-up your act now.
I would hate to see a well known suspected boy rayper shot down in the streets without a fair trial, let alone a man suspected of terrorizing citizens of the US, like members of that boys family.

China and Russia are not our friends. Why are we outsoucing our jobs and future to China? America businesses are digging Americans graves with outsourcing and tax loop holes for the rich.

Why? Really? You still believe these folks are just incompetent? No, there are corrupt. The leadership of this country have no interest in the American people and despite the bizarre belief many people have, the "leaders" of both political parties have the same agenda and have for some time. Destroy and consolidate...and that means the US people's wealth and freedoms as well. Luckily, they are only pathological and not the brightest. Their plan is failing miserably and they are striking out at these other countries in a desperate attempt to confuse and sidetrack us...but it will be their demise as has been the case with tyrants for ions. Unfortunately, many innocent people have to pay the ultimate price for their psychological defects. When will humanity learn?

"honesty"...you prove that you are honestly unable in seeing the bigger picture here. Obama is just continuing the agenda Bush II continued from Clinton who continued it from Bush I. They rap it in different rhetoric just to help the "party" plantation folks believe their is actually a choice in these duopoly elections.

Hold your horses. When has Russian or China ever voted against us? What a truly worthless organization the UN is. Pack them up and ship them out. Oh by the way, when are we going to show some spine? We only go against countries like Afghanistan and Grenada? Don't worry Mr. Obama, your policies are working. We are much safer.

Thats because those countries don't hold the majority of our debt(not to mention funding more of it every day) and those little peon countries don't control our goods. Since china manufactures most of our crap and holds our debt they have us by the U No Whats...so it doesn't matter who you have in the whitehouse the outcome will be the same...bending over as china squeezes harder!!
