Norway marks anniversary of massacre

A year ago, a man bombed a government building in Oslo before heading to an island summer camp, where he opened fire as terrified youth jumped into water to escape the hail of bullets.

The twin attacks killed 77 people, including 69 at the Labour Party summer camp.
Numerous events are scheduled nationwide Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the worst atrocity on Norwegian soil since World War II.

You're right; a fitting reminder would have been to print the names of those this lunatic slaughtered.

May they RIP, the poor innocents!

A terrorist to the boot. An act of terrorism and nothing but. To ' commemorate ' this horror avoiding to call it terrorism is an insult to the victims and intelligence.
"The man who bombed" is deliberate glorification of this heinous act.
The same goes for the Colorado terrorist.

Western media seems to have some kind of a collective mental block when dealing with acts of terrorism perpetrated by those other than the stereotyped middle eastern types.

The Western MSM seems to take a great delight in rehashing horrific events as if they were something to celebrate; what is one to think of that?
You are right in one thing, saywhat; a terrorist is a person who incites terror in innocents, and if Brievak and Holmes aren't terrorists, someone needs to look up the definition of the word...the implication that the only terrorists are those of ME descent is patently untrue and patently misleading.

    Yup@Jeff
    Seems that way.
terrorism is what you have stated@banasy. Be it a bomb blast, a suicide vest, the terror felt by cowering women and children waiting for missiles to rain, drones to come seeking, kids facing tank muzzles, automatic weapons blazing in the malls, theaters or schools.
    War on terrorism ???

      @saywhat:
To paraphrase a bit, "we have looked in the mirror, and the terrorists are us."
As you have said in the past, we *must* look inward.

Your both right, terrorism is more homegrown than we think and its derived from narrowmindedness and hate.

Europe is increasingly waking upto the dangers of importing huge number of unadaptable, welfare dependent migrants/asylum seekers from Islamic countries, whom they see as both destroying the European way of life, as well as driving their economies down the ditch.

Europeans are fed up of not only criminals like Brevik, but also of the constant bashing up of nationalist parties (fighting for this just cause) by Islamic supporters such as CNN's Mr.Fareed Zakaria who deceitfully are calling them extreme rightwingers to further their agenda of Islamization of Europe, and eventually America!

No doubt...this was an act of "terrorism" by a white christian nazi type... the media seems to down play such when terrorist is not from an arab country... Whats really weird is that europeans seemed to have forgotten that Jeezus and all hiz boyz were not from sweden...they were middle eastern jews... goofy nazi types seem to forget this. Sweden saved all Jews during ww2 but alot of Norwegians were quizling nazis like the vichy french and catholic polish... were racists and helped willingly in killing non christians... today most jews left evil europe and now locals are beating up and ghetto izing Moslems instead.. Europe has a long long history of pogroms and genocide /slavery. I think all Moslems and Non christians should go to Canada or some other welcoming country like Israel or America... These type s of feelings are bubbling below the surface of european failing economy... no jobs etc. People always want a scape goat to blame problems on....now sadly its the Moslems . jim ainoris
