Drugs may be a factor in random killing sprees, but why is it Hollywood, TV and certain Music is to blame for a lot of the violent fantasies yet not a word against those who peddle thir violent movies and music not held accountable? this tool Homes even admitted he watch a clip of "The Black Knight Rises" where a guy in the clip shoots up inside a movie theater....Then some Politicians try to blame Guns....geez

To assume that they were BAD parents right off the bat is equally as preposterous.
    But, whatever.
    Have a pleasant evening.

I agree! Until we know more about this young man's background, speculation is just that: speculation!

@CoD 7:25. Good post. For a certainty, gangsta rap, for example, does not incite to love and fine works. That said...
Huh? Politicians blame guns, you say? I say that for every politician that blameses guns there are a million citizens that do. If it's the guns fault, then it isn't the parents fault for keeping a loaded weapon in the house. (pronography, violent video, xanax and a bottle of hard on pills)
Look at the gun instead of at the monster you raised on ritilin, for example.

@Meridith, that's exactly what I was driving at, thank you.
@ CoD, I second Philips sentents.
@ Philip, The root would be drug use and family life. Given those two factors, add a violent video, tv, or song with a gun firmly in hand, you have the certainty of a bomb exploding!
