Gadhafi's son seeks waiver of travel ban, lawyer says

Saadi Gadhafi, one of the late Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi's sons, has asked the United Nations to let him travel outside the African nation of Niger, his lawyer says.

Gadhafi is under a travel ban because the international police agency Interpol has issued a "red notice" for him, calling for his arrest.

But he fears for his safety in Niger, his lawyer Nick Kaufman said. Saadi Gadhafi fled to Niger as his father's regime collapsed last year.

"There has been at least one assassination attempt," although Gadhafi is under government protection, Kaufman told CNN Monday. They also fear that instability in nearby Mali could affect his safety.

"There has been AT LEAST one assassination attempt" said his lawyer Nick Kaufman. Maybe more? Not sure? Are we supposed to feel sorry for his client now? Let him move to America illegally as if a Mexican? Let him move to Mexico and play cartel.

The UN baned him from travel
Get real people, the UN is not the worlds "Government"!,.........
That body was never supposed to have its own military and policing force either but due mainly to US and European financing and political chicanery within the UN it has a mercenary force of largely african nations that outnumbers 100 individual sovereign nations military forces
It has been turned into no more than a extension of worlds corporate and financial leaders welfare and policing agency.
This weeping willows and their willys idea that somehow they can make this world into a Sylvan glade. where no wantsor cares will be found is allowing the virtual destruction of free choice and causing allowances of worst environmental disasters in known history.
Every nation UN enters ends up being economicly destroyed and the populaces find national decisions are more for economical interest of their own bureaucratic lackys to outside interest.
Not a blue helmet conspiracy milita nut but at present rate of loss of US peoples individual aand national sovereignty to worldwide interest over our I damn well may become one.

Let me see is I have this straight:
He wants the UN to lift the ban on travel, so he can leave one country that he's hiding in to go hide in another.
    Have I got that right?

Regardless of Saadi's fate ,the fact is that Libya has now turned into another Somalia. You won't read about what goes on now thru our MS media. Because our interest was limited to seeing Ghddafi go. End of story for us.
A country destroyed and a people in misery.
    Good morning all.
