Tuesday's live events

The two major parties will come together in the next few weeks to make their presidential tickets official.  CNN.com Live is your home for all the action from the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

Today's programming highlights...

11:15 am ET - Biden in Virginia - Vice President Joe Biden is back on the campaign trail this morning.  He'll make remarks at the Institute for Advanced Learning in Danville, Virginia.

12:25 pm ET - Obama speaks at museum - President Obama spends his day campaigning in Iowa, starting with a chat at the Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum in Oskaloosa.  He'll then speak at a middle school in Marshalltown at 4:45 pm ET, followed by an address in Waterloo at 8:45 pm ET.

12:30 pm ET - Romney goes to Ohio - GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is in the battleground state of Ohio today, and he'll begin by visiting a mining operation in Beallsville.  That's followed by events in Zanesvile at 3:40 pm ET and Chillicothe at 7:20 pm ET.

1:35 pm ET - Paul Ryan out West - GOP vice presidential hopeful Rep. Paul Ryan will address supporters at a high school in Lakewood, Colorado.  He then travels to Las Vegas to speak at a "victory rally" at 7:50 pm ET.
