2 police killed, 2 wounded in Louisiana 'ambush'

Two Louisiana police officers were killed and two wounded Thursday morning in what state police are calling an ambush.

The four deputies from the St. Johns Baptist Parish office were shot as they were directing traffic outside the Bayou Steel Plant in LaPlace, Louisiana, State Police Sgt. Ann Dusang said.

"They were ambushed," Dusang said. "Two have been killed and two hospitalized."

Dusang said a search was under way for the gunman.

You are a heartless SOB. People lost their lives, they were fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers. You should be ashamed of yourself

Mill Gates...really? Two needless deaths? Regardless of the jobs they had, they were human beings who have been murdered. You are a strange man.

    Um. Yeah.
They were picked off by some bozo like a carnival shooting gallery game.
No matter what one thinks of the police, these guys didn't deserve this...

Condolences to the families of the two who were slain.

This is horrific and worrisome. Ambush with an assault weapon on deputies performing routine duties.
My sympathies and prayers for the families of those who lost lives and the injured.

Maybe they were "innocent"..but it is the actions of all who act against the public instead of for them that causes people to feel like that

Man, and I thought Detroit was bad. At least here, the thugs simply kill EACH OTHER! You guys got a bunch of animals there! Makes me sorry I. And to think I spent three weeks down there trying to help fix that area after Katrina. Shame on all of you! God's blessings upon the families of these murdered officers.

I feel that the actions of police in general who have killed innocent homeowners in their own home, the wrongful seizure of cash and property, the killing and torturing with tasers, and the rough and abusive way in which some people are handled by police is starting to turn public opinion of many against police in general. The abuse is often in the news and is on YOUTUBE.
MY condolences to the family and friends of the fallen.
