Good afternoon Dazzle, Banasy, Bobcat, Chrissy and everyone else. @Dazzle I'm glad to hear that your daughter left the area. As I said before it doesn't have to be a cat 5 storm to be dangerous and deadly. Plaquemines(i hope I spelled that right) parish got wiped out. Slidell took some heavy flooding in the usual area, but it has never flooded where I am. @ Bobcat good to see you aren't waterlogged. @ anyone in the drought area may this storm be a blessing to you and bring you some much needed rain and cool air.
@ dazzle
Well I really am sorry about the way you got involved with us crazy people, but I sure am glad you got involved with your crazy self. I think we all came from the same mold.
Bciah and dazzle:
One thing a smart person should *never* do is attack one's kids...online or off!
There *will* be consequences, lol...
Karma has good aim!
@ banasy
And we never, ever miss our target. We do get mean over our children. Even now at my daughters age. It would still be the killer instinct coming out.
@ Hamsta
Glad to see you made it through that mess okay. When I got the reports about the tornadic activity and floods in that area, my thoughts were with you.
I returned to New Orleans to feed my fish and empty the fridge. I found that for the most part New Orleans is Ok, but without power. I have a cat and it just wouldn't be right to keep him locked up in a house withoit lights and air conditioning so he is enjoying some cold air with my mom and dad. I hope you get power restored soon. My cat can't make up his mind if he is Cringer or Battlecat. At home he rules the house and loves to play sneak attack, at mom's he hides under the couch. He finally stopped hiding and is explpring now.
@ Hamsta
We fared well in our area. I'm on a lot higher ground now and not prone to the flooding. We never did lose our power here, which is highly unusual. The areas south of Hwy. 90 are the ones that caught most of the flooding and power outages. I hope you get your power back soon. Was your kitty mad at you for leaving him behind ? And by him liking to be in attack mode, he needs to be called battlecat. The hat is optional.
Good night dazzle. I believe I'm going to do the same. Good night to you banasy, chrissy, hamsta and whoever else is still on here worth saying goodnight to.
I didn't leave my cat behind, I brought him with me when I left New orleans. But he does get upset when I leave without him from mom's. He is in an unfamiliar place and isn't comfortable without me. @Dazzle sorry to hear about your son in plaquemines, I sincerely hope that isn't the case.
Hi, gang!
You can't tell it by my weather; it's about 91 here right now...
I've read about poor Plaquemines Parrish; they were hit *hard* by the flooding...
So sad.
Hey banasy
They had reports that in Plaquemines Parrish the waters came over the levees there. In some areas houses were copletely covered. My heart goes out to those so severely affected. I haven't heard any reports of loss of life, so that is a definite positive.
And one more thing banasy
They said the remnants Issac are supposed to be swinging in your direction. So you be extra careful as this could still be holding a lot dangerous pontential.
Sorry to update from my last post, but reports say there are four deaths attributed to Issac. Always a sad thing.
@dazzle:
Thank you, darlin, for the belated wishes.
@Rawr!
Yeah, we're supposed to get it this weekend.
I hope we don't flash flood; the area I'm in is somewhat prone to them.
RIP to the victims.
And my belated birthday wishes to you too banasy. Sorry, I didn't know. Or did I ? Well if I did, blame my forgetfulness on mind preoccupation. That or a senior moment.
Rawr:
Nah, I didn't say anything; you can't forget what you didn't hear, lol!
New Orleans is much prettier during a power blackout.
Glad to hear youre ok hamsta, and ill take snow and cold anyday. Its just been too freakin hot for me!
@chrissy:
Funny how we say that when it's hot, but the minute it actually *is* cold and snow...lol...
Bciah and dazzle:
Yeah, I'm off to bed, too.
Good night, my dear friends.
