No massacre of Indians by gold miners in Venezuela, group says

Survival International, the nonprofit that pushed last month for Venezuelan officials to investigate reports of a massacre in an Amazon indigenous community, said Monday that it now believes there was no attack by miners there.

"Having received its own testimony from confidential sources, Survival now believes there was no attack by miners on the Yanomami community of Irotatheri," said Stephen Corry, director of Survival International.

How much oil money did Chavez pay them.

Okay, I don't believe it either, but have you ever noticed that these kinds of conspiracy theories are never aimed at islamist or communist countries?

Yes, james a., it's hard not to hold a lifetime grudge against EU/Euros for both sides of my family: one side Jewish who fled France n Belgium to the Caribbean islands n intermarried there; one side half Taïno descended whose ancestors were exterminated by the French n Spanish, the other half descended from African slaves who were worked to death n rayped when they were not systematically murdered by, yet again, the French n the Spanish.

But grudges aren't healthy for me. They're easy, oh yea, but destroy from the inside. Maybe keep a little in my head but out of my heart.

I'm already called a race traitor bc of having this heritage yet partnering w a German descended person w a part Lakota mother. Hmmm, but who would I be betraying exactly?

Somewhere most of us in the Americas have colonising ancestors as well as persecuted n colonised ones. Sorting it out can leave us w battered identies that will need lots of healing.
