Angry royals take Kate's topless photo battle to court

More topless photos of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, spilled into public view Monday as Britain's royal family planned to ask a French court to stop further publication of the pictures.

The legal battle raged while the duchess and her husband, Prince William, carried on with an official tour of the South Pacific, including meetings with Solomon Islanders - some of them topless.

The new photos were published Monday by the Italian gossip magazine Chi, which is owned by the same company that last week published several pictures of a topless Catherine sunbathing in private during a vacation at a private chateau belonging to William's uncle in Provence, in southern France.

The grainy images, shot from a distance, show Catherine on a balcony and appear to be no more revealing than those published last week by the French magazine Closer, the Guardian newspaper reported.

Me thinks the Prince protests too much! All the photos have been seen by anyone who cares to.....So all he's doing is keeping the story in the news. They will be on the net for her grandkids to see
...so just get over it. There are places, I'm sure, that Kate can eliminate her tan lines that the roving photographer can't get to.

The paparazzi did the same thing to Princess Diana.
It's a part of being Royalty, or a celebrity.

I guess I am the crazy one here, BUT, I do not care, nor am I interested in what celebreties, royals, etc., do on THEIR OWN TIME!! IF I "love" a TV or Movie star on screen, THAT is what I am interested in! I do NOT care what color they are, straight, gay, lesbian, religious preference, color of thier underware, you name it!! WE get upset if we find someone watching us, WHY should we tolerate others privacy being invaded. And lets not forget that ALL of this is just about MONEY!! The people taking these pictures, hiding in the bushes, using a million powered lens, from a 1/2 mile away are just HOPEING to get that ONE picture that will pay them the big bucks!! I hope the Royals WIN this case! Should pass laws that if your picture is taken you MUST get an OK of the person (s) photographed prior to publishing it!!

Gotta remember that different countries have differing laws concerning privacy. Then there are revealing photos that are actually posed by the subject and distributed by publicists to t*tillate readers of the weeklies. I am damned sure there are private companies that for a price will guarantee a week or so of absolute privacy for just about anyone.
