Sandusky could be sentenced on October 9

Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky may be sentenced on October 9 after a hearing to determine if he's a sexually violent predator, according to court documents.

After a three-week trial featuring emotional and often graphic testimony from eight of the former Penn State assistant football coach's victims, a 12-person jury convicted him on 45 of 48 counts. There were convictions related to all 10 victims alleged by prosecutors, with the three not-guilty verdicts applying to three individuals.

The verdict prompted people in central Pennsylvania to breathe a sigh of relief, believing a man many called a "monster" would pay the price for his crimes and their impact on his victims, as well as the Penn State community.

Jurors did hear from eight young men who testified that as boys, Sandusky forced them to engage in sexual acts in showers in Penn State's athletics facilities, hotel rooms, the basement of his home and other places. The abuse spanned at least 15 years.

Why anyone thinks sending this rapist to prison is suitable punishment is beyond me. He will probably enjoy it there.

I wonder how many people have really looked at the books for Penn State. Its public record if you know where to look: they have a line item in their current budget listed as "G.A.S. Def '12-'13" with a cost allowance of 3.5 mill. I wonder how many people know that the university is still covering this man's defense.

She's obvioulsy not telling us of her husbands hundreds of antics performed over the past 2 decades. No doormat housewife is that thick. (no matter if eats xanax out of a cereal bowl, could still see)
Colorado Springs' version of sandusky (7 yr. vet policeman joshua carrier) faces life in prison for raypeing 88 boys in one school year. He was more active in youth programs than Sandusky. Parents adored him and thought it was cute he found their boys to be attractive. The risks associated with gay tolerance are evident.

Yeah, you have to watch out for those gay pedophiles. As long as they're straight, they are Ok? Is that what you mean?

Sandusky already had his own children in life, and obviously didn't care about the children of others. So what, if any, lesson is going to be learned by castrating Sandusky?
Please. Am I on the wrong page? Tell me if I am. The heartbreak his own family endures, as well as the victims involved, has got to be unbearable.

He abused one of his adopted children, too.
      What will it accomplish?
      He'll stop using s e x as a weapon, that's what it will accomplish.

When the supply of testosterone is cut from being castrated, will he sound like the woman?
They don't do frontal labotomies any more, do they? Then they behave more like a lab rat.

      @Jeff Frank:
He deserves as much consideration and choice as he afforded those boys.
He can't control his impulses, remove what weapon he used...okay, no castration...remove his sword instead.
That way, he can still sing bass in the prison choir.

CNN: Sandusky could be sentenced on October 9.
Jeff: Why don't they just cut him loose. In about six months while he's pursuing another assistant coach job, he'll get an unknown call on his cell phone. "Is this Jerry? Great! Your about to have a nasty accident." Click!!!
