French diplomatic missions, schools closed in 20 countries, Foreign Ministry says
French embassies and schools will be closed in about 20 countries Friday as a security precaution, French Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday, after the satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo published cartoons apparently depicting the Muslim Prophet Mohammed.
Magazine director Stephane Charbonnier said his staff is "not really fueling the fire," but rather using its freedom of expression "to comment (on) the news in a satirical way."
"It happens that the news this week is Mohammed and this lousy film, so we are drawing cartoons about this subject," Charbonnier told CNN affiliate BFM-TV on Wednesday. "It's more turning in derision this grotesque film than to make fun of Mohammed."
The "lousy film" he's referring to is "Innocence of Muslims," an amateurish, 14-minute video that mocks the Prophet Mohammed as a womanizer, child molester and killer. The video drew international attention last week and spawned heated protests in more than a dozen countries.

I remember a film that mocked or made fun of many Christain religions. Dogma was well acted but violence, riots and death did not come

Or let someone try making a film ridiculing oand denying the Holocaust ? Freedom of Speech
The point is that no one but no one has the right to deliberately and by design ridicule or revile another's faith. If some do not react to their faith or figures revered by them because they do not take them seriously it doesn't mean that the same goes for other faiths.

Sure. We the descendants of some angelic species only can claim this planet. Our WMDS, warships,missiles, stealths, drones and such give us that guarantee. We have set new parameters of bravery and courage by showcasing our ability to kill and destroy at the push of a button sitting thousands of miles away.

The non sunni minorities – shiite, coptic christian – are being persecuted and ethnically cleansed. What is 0bama's strategy? He won't even call it a war against radical Islam. You can kill leadership with drones, but new ones take their place and the salafist ideology expands, and Al Qaeda expands while America cowers behind political correctness, or worse, discourages exercise of rights we once were told were inalienable God given rights, like freedom of speech and expression.

These demonstrations are at their most intense where our military presence or occupation for years sees simmering anti-American sentiment or our interference in their affairs has created resentment. And forces politically motivated and with their own agenda are exploiting the situation.

A riot just broke out in Germany, a man was tagging a wall under a bridge, a picture of a bearded guy with bling. He was approached by two man and they asked "is that Prophet Mohammed"? He told 2 men that it was not The Prophet Mohammed.
Just to be on the safe side in case it may resemble The Prophet Mohammed, the men went and threw acid on women and children to show Prophet Mohammed is great.
This is as silly as the film...Its not about the film its about killing Americans where ever and when ever, in fact a lot of the protesters were paid to protest and they were protesting 11 hours befor the film was uploded.
