[Update 8:55 p.m. ET] The U.S. Geological Survey revised its report of Tuesday's earthquake to magnitude 4.0, down from a preliminary magnitude of 4.6. The epicenter was pinpointed 4 miles west-southwest of Hollis Center, Maine, at a shallow depth of 4.2 miles.
Despite the downgrade, the quake was felt as far away as Boston, Massachusetts; Albany, New York, and even Waterbury, Connecticut, according to the USGS.

We live in Montpelier, Vermont and we felt it in our 2nd floor apartment. I am blotting about it if anyone wants to join me.
We live in Salem, NH, and the couch and TV shook pretty well for about 10 seconds.
Hey Ari Fleisher, the earthquake you said will strike Boston if Romney wins, well its close and getting closer. Obama will loose again tonight and on November 6th.

Please! Just because you live in California doesn't mean that an earthquake on the east coast doesn't matter. Get over yourself!
I felt it in Hartford, CT. My floor was shaking and my glass rattled so hard on the table that some of the juice splashed out.

Felt it here in Danbury, CT.
You knoiw what we call a 4.6 earthquake in California?
Nothing... Because nobody even bothers mentioning a 4.6 quake.....
Vermont is not really supposed to have Earthquakes. Also do you guys usually hear a noise with yours in CA? We did.
I used to live in San Francisco so when I felt a minor quake here in Maine I was excited! It was a rather pathetic quake, but a quake non the less 🙂
We live in Freeport, ME and to us it was like a train going by. Not much shaking. The House is on ledge, so that may be why it wasn't so strong for us. But friends in neighboring towns had stuff shake pretty good.
Mother nature is getting in on the lucrative Zumba act!!!
The Bob Francoeur?? I slept through it in my recliner. My wife and daughters here in Hudson, NH felt it strongly.
