Suicide attack on army base wounds 30 Afghan soldiers

A suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden truck into the wall of a joint NATO-Afghan army base Tuesday, wounding 30 Afghan soldiers, officials said.

The base at Paktia province also came under indirect fire after the attack, said Lt. Junior Grade Amy Hession of NATO's International Security Assistance Force.

We really don't need to be over there. It is time to pull out troops out.

Obama has stated he does not wish to reduce our presence in world affairs. I totally disagree. We need to stop being the world's police force.

    (obviously not Joey above)
Is it just me, or do perhaps others wonder why "Al-Qaeda", said to be a filthy rich organization of war mongers, don't make some decent IEDs vs. troops in Afghanistan and Iran? (improvised explosive devices) As a farmboy, I made bombs that wouldn't just flip an unarmored (or later on armored) over. With a 50 lb. sack of fertilizer and some diesel fuel, I made bombs that could blow a gutless HumVee a hundred feet into the air. Why can't they?
Also, why hasn't Al-Jazeera news agency (known as "the Voice of Al-Quida") published FBI whisteblower Sybel D. Edmonds and 24 DoD officials, all under Bush federal gag orders to NOT publish the names of the men, both foreign and domestic who financed 9/11?
If Al-Jazeera were to make-known that Bridas corporation employees operating Afghanistans vast pipeline infrastructure were either murdered in the field or sent to GITMO forever...see? .

Why hasn't Al-Jazeera helped 911 Truthers "get the word out"...that some corrupted Americans and 26 members of the Bin Laden family financed 9/11? (recall, the Bin Laden family disowned and bannished OBL)
Why has Al-Jazeera NOT helped to expose the Bush-Bin Laden group, the "Carlyle Group"? They're a worldwide news agency. The "voice of Al-Quida" could easily "get the word out" that STILL isn't fully 'out' b/c you have to go online and look for it. Imagine if it were broadcast daily.
do you yourself know how and where Al-Jazeera news agency came into existance? Where their first offices were located? No, you do not. It is not broadcast... it is something you have to dig to find.

He would grant us the power to scorch the earth and truly bring peace to the middle-east. Oh wait, he has done that already. What are we waiting for...PUSH THE BUTTON!

@Philip. That's an easy question to answer. God would take all who claim that modern-day Israel and the Israeli MOSSAD are NOT the biblical God's chosen nation...and see them burning alive in hell, forever!
Praise the burning hell wolf god!!! Take your money dedicated to God and give it to wealthy jews. (amen)

  9. CIA World Factbook

Israels gross domestic production: 250 billion dollars per year.
    Israels public debt........74.6% of GDP
ISRAELI GOV. DEBT: 4.01% of GDP
    .
US public debt....you already know, but roughly 200% of GDP
US gov debt: 8,315,500 billions of dollars to the IMF. (int'l monetary fund)
Gov. debt is calculated by taking how much a government owes and subtracting everything that gov owns...all the gold, buildings, land, etc.
You simply cannot afford to support Israel. Give it up already.
    Funny...when you goto http://www.cia.gov, a banner pops-up. "CAUTION. entering a non-secure area" LMAO

    Good morning@Philip
Your take on Al-Jazeera is well founded my friend. This Qatar & US initiated broad cast would otherwise have not survived.

As for this attack in Afghanistan, no surprises there. It just shows the futility & folly of of what we began 11 years ago and have no clue how to end. Undoubtedly NATO allies would not remain with us for long. After alienating both the general public in Afghanistan and our front line reluctant partners Pakistanis, it would become even harder to remain engaged or to find an exit strategy,

Should have gotten out when we got the God-sent OBL kill if not much earlier when Taliban had offered him to Bush.

Gm@saywhat my friend. I should have known you were aware of just how Al-Jazeera "the voice of al-quida" got started. My bad. 🙂
Obviously, you are well-aware of why it is that Al-Jazeera doesn't expose the Bush-Bin Laden group of investors or speak-out on behalf of Sybel D. Edmonds.
(although I'm not exactly sure where you stand on Israel. Do you believe as president Obama and candidate Romney believe? That Israel is "God's chosen nation Israel" of Obama and Romney's bible?) Not to put you on the spot or anything. he he

...and, good point. (Taliban offerin Usama Bin Laden to George W. Bush, who turned-down that offer)
The Taliban government wanted Usama Bin Laden and his paid henchmen OUT of Afghanistan as bad as anyone did. (recall, CNN Europe reported Bush and Blair fronting OBL 50 million dollars to go-into Afghanistan to keep Soviets from capturing the TAPI)
Odd how people STILL think the Taliban were in cahoots with OBL after all these years.

    Good morning @banasy & thanks.
    @Philip
god forbid I chose to believe the 'chosen nation' and such stuff. I believe firmly that US should have an independent foreign policy looking out for its own interests and future of this nation and coming generations. getting ourselves subservient to interests of a foreign nation has played havoc with our domestic and global interests and geo political goals.
Taliban, if one follows the course of unfortunate events during the prosecution of this 'war, were indeed anxious to be rid of Al-Qaeda and worried about civilian deaths in Afghanistan. They wanted an end to the military intervention. The reason they offered twice to hand over OBL to US which Bush rejected.

      @ saywhat, Good morning,
Choosen Nation? Or how I see it might be more in tune with the following passage: Matthew 18:1 – 3
In that hour the disciples came near to Jesus and said: “Who really is greatest in the kingdom of the heavens?”2So, calling a young child to him, he set it in their midst and said: “Truly I say to YOU, Unless YOU turn around and become as young children, YOU will by no means enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

      What say you? 🙂

Twice? I thought it was a standing offer. he he. The deal was, the Taliban ALLOWED US troops to enter Afghanistan to capture OBL and rid Afghanistan of these former "freedom fighters" who had gone rogue. Rather than going after OBL who was already in Pakistan, Troops went-after the government of Afghanistan who would not allow Bush-backed oil corporations access to the TAPI. (Bushco lost 15 billion dollars trying to legally sieze the TAPI. cite: US court cases Bridas v Unocal, Birdas v Turkmenneft)
Bridas? The corporation that legally operated Afghanistans vast pipeline infrastructure, the TAPI.
Currently, Bridas employees are either resting in peace (dead), or at GITMO labeled as suspected terrorists.
