Suspected gunman's wife among those killed in Wisconsin
Zina Haughton, wife of the alleged gunman, was one of the three victims in Sunday's shooting at a Wisconsin salon.
The Waukesha County medical examiner's office released the names Monday of those killed in suburban Milwaukee: Cary Robuck, 35; Maelyn Lind, 38; and Zina Haughton, 42, of Brown Deer.
Radcliffe Haughton was found dead after he killed the three people, police said.
Four days ago, Zina Haughton took out a restraining order against her husband.

A survivor tells CNN affiliate WTMJ-TV that Zina Haughton was a hero - and saved lives.
One person wounded in Sunday's shooting has been released from the hospital, a spokeswoman for Froedtert Hospital announced Monday.
The hospital didn't identify the patient who was among seven shot by Radcliffe Haughton at the Azana Salon and Spa in Brookfield.
Of the three patients remaining in the hospital, all are in satisfactory condition, including one person whose condition was upgraded Monday from critical.
I don't understand why his guns were not confiscated after the restraining order was issued.
Do the courts really think (some of) these perps are going to turn them in voluntarily if they are h-ll bent on revenge (as stated in the court order?

I would suppose it would depend if the gun he had was legally licensed or not.
I have never seen a person willingly hand over an illegal gun, RO or not.
If he was hell bent on revenge,(and he obviously was!) He would have gotten a gun one way or another.
Sad case all around.
Maybe the judges should give the woman a gun and a concealed carry permit in the abuser's presence when issuing a restraining order- and inform the abuser that she has every right to protect herself.
It's possible that he lied to the court and said he didn't have any firearms. Or the police were scheduled to search his home of weapons that day so he took them and disposed of himself.
You don't have to give up a legally obtained gun just because someone had filed a restraining order on you. What if he used his car? Should everyone with a restraining order have to stop driving too?
Who should be blamed? The laws, government, economy failure, chemicals in food off setting our natural balance. How about the person or people who commit the crimes. He was sick and crazy, but why? Why is it that people now from all background, whether it be educational, race, religion feel the need to carryout public massacres?
Maybe it's our environment all together. Violence is everywhere T.V., video games, cartoons, music, News, internet, schools, homes and seen many other ways. How are we the people learning to cope with anger, frustration and rejection. Where did the morals and respect for ones self go?
It is not the job of the people around me to make me feel wanted, secure and even loved. It is my responsibility for myself and my children, then it becomes their responsibility for them and their children. To instill morals so deep it hard to be broken. Bullies use to not get so much publicity ( there is always someone bigger and badder than you) it help make weak children stronger ( i am one of them), Depression was not so publicized ( 5 year old are now talking about their depressed) I'm an adult and i barley know what that means. With all the crazy stuff seen and heard today, my mind wouldn't have ever thought to do some of the things being done today had I not seen or heard it. Stop publicizing it. Stop making excuses. Do like some places in Africa make the families pay for their own loonies in prison and let my money go to the educational system ( which is also broken) in hopes that it may be repaired. America Stop Encouraging Weak People. Life is hard but it can always be worse!!!!!

In WI, when there is a Temporary Restraining Order or Restraining Order issued, there is a firearm injunction where the respondent is to turn their firearms over to the Sheriff. I'm not sure what the time frame for that is, but when she filed the TRO a couple weeks ago, that injunction was there...
Authorities often don't know of hidden weapons. Friends of the suspect could have hidden them. Weirder things have been known to happen. A restraining order is just a piece of paper. Obviously it cannot and does not protect the victim from physical harm. It's very sad.
I don't understand why a guy with a police record, a restraining order and threats to his wife was allowed to buy a gun in the first place.
Can anyone in the US buy a gun so easily?

In the US you have to take a written and practical test before you can drive a car but in the United states looks like anyone ,,,even the mentally insane and those with anger management issues can buy a weapon of mass destruction.

Yes, they have managed to make a firearm that doesn't fire at people. All that needs to be done is to leave it where it is and it wont shoot anyone. If it does shoot someone, then there is a person that is responsible for it.

Actually, black men are less likely to be involved in mass murder compared to white males. But none the less it doesn't matter, evil is evil, and if you haven't noticed, there is no shade for it, other than the end result of red – Which, no matter the color of the victim's other shell, they all bleed the same.
