Hurricane coming, island residents warned; U.S. could be next

Millions of people in the Caribbean are being warned to get ready for a hurricane that's expected to strike tomorrow, bringing destructive waves and life-threatening mudslides.

Tropical Storm Sandy will be a hurricane by morning, and Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba are in its projected path, the National Hurricane Center says.

Some areas could see 20 inches of rain in the coming days.

The United States might be in for a battering as well.

As Sandy pushes its way northeast, it could brush by Florida on Friday, says CNN Meteorologist Dave Hennen.  Some forecasts say it could go on to slam the Northeast on Halloween, but other forecast models say Sandy could miss the United States entirely.

Jamaica is under a hurricane warning.  Cuba issued a hurricane watch in several areas, and much of the Bahamas is under a tropical storm watch.

This looks dangerous. It's late in the season for a tropical storm. Hope it doesn't get too bad.

Yup, all the entrepreneurs in Florida have been swearing under their breath about no storms to drum up their bogus businesses this year and they have another shot maybe! LOL The media prods everyone to dash out and buy up a bunch of stuff they don't really need every time there's even a hint of a storm out there.

God never did exist. And he isn't coming again, because he was never here in the first place.

This has all the makin's for another 'Perfect Storm'. 2 storms converging into a super storm & then being steered up the eastern coast by a warm/cold front coming from the west....stock up now & batten down your hatches....

You are correct – skin color does not matter. At 15 and 17 – these young men knew exactly what they were doing – but they didn't care. It is a sad commentary with values of people have gotten to the point that all they want is what they want – regardless of the cost to society or anyone else. BTW – If you read the Hebrew translation – God said "Thou shalt not murder" (it somehow was translated to kill) – but it also says obey the laws of the land. If found guilty and sentenced to death – they should be executed. Until we start executing people convicted beyond a reasonable doubt of killing people – we will never have an impact on the rise of crime in America. Set free in the future, these boys would likely do this or worse.
