Ozzie Guillen sacked by Marlins

Controversial manager Ozzie Guillen has been fired by the Miami Marlins, the team announced on Twitter.

The Marlins also tweeted comments from the team's president of baseball operations.

"Our managerial search begins immediately and our hope is that a new manager, along with roster improvements, will restore a winning culture," Beinfest added.

    Don't blame Ozzie for a bad season. The Marlins are a glorified 'Farm Team'. If they'd had a winning season, they would've sold off all the good players. The Yankees need some help.

    Ozzie is worthless.....he was at fault for that team failing...no different than Bobby V in Boston – the manager is there to make the important decisions and it seems like he let the primadonnas of the team do as they wished and didn't have an aura of control....good riddance...I'm sure he can get a job with a Miami Little League team
