Bike bomb at shrine kills 3

An explosion at a shrine in northwest Pakistan has left three people dead and 26 others wounded, police said.

A bomb was planted on a bicycle near the shrine's main gate.  It exploded during a religious festival, said Muhammad Hussain, police chief of Nowshera district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Many shrines have been attacked during religious festivals in Pakistan by a hardline sect that considers them non-Muslim activities.

Stay classy Pakistan. Killing minorities and moderates must be an important part of your mission. And you are so good at it!! Killing unsuspecting people who busy worshiping, or a shooting a teenager in a school van are the only the "courageous" things allowed in your belief system. Bravo.

read ur foreign policy, british and american politicians kept telling asia,"to provide jobs to combat terrorism" while they encouraged pakistan to create taliban to fight against USSR presense in russia. once ussr was gone from afghanistan these guys turned against everyone. Its surprising if americans dont know about this.

Muslims do this everyday. It's a part of being a Muslim. They celebrated their Eid festival with bombs in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan - Let them do it in their own countries. Muslim immigration to all civilized societies needs to be stopped.

Muhammed was not completely tool, he knew his types back then, so he started an EID celebration, or now widely popular as IED (Improvised Explosive Device) celebration in moslem world.

It's nice to see from this and several other stories that Muslims worldwide are observing a peaceful Eid.

Also, comments are closed on the earthquake story. Felt nothing in Edmonton, but that's not surprising with mountain ranges in the way. I didn't even know there was a quake until just now. I hope it's not a foreshock for a bigger one. The Cascadia fault is due for about a 9.
