[Updated 6:54 a.m. ET] A Halloween party erupted in gunfire that left several people wounded at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, campus officials said.

California has very strict laws against concealed carry and it still happened. The conclusion is, laws against concealed carry makes no difference except that it disarms law abiding citizens and leaves them defenseless.

That makes no sense. So, have even MORE guns in the crowd would help? Probably not, then everyone would just shoot each other like the ye old west. Get your tun foil hat and calm down.

or we outlaw Haloween parties and it wouldn't have happened.

Spencer Shaw- What are you blabbering on about? Plenty of states have concealed carry. It doesn't result in shootouts at parties. What it does result in is lead poisoning for attackers at ATMs and parking lots.

Definitely. The more bullets the weapon can hold, the safer you are.

When a person is carrying a gun to do bad things, he is hoping and expecting that he will be the only one with a gun. Bad guys LOVE gun control laws.... that way, you get to enter with complete power (and safety!) as you do your bad deeds.
Question: Would a guy like this enter a place that was well known to contain armed citizens? If you were a bad guy, would you????

these guys were carrying weapons just in case they needed to defend themselves and others with weapons. Doing a great job being good citizens. When they get really angry and lose control and start shooting people, that's just a side effect we should happily accept, right America? Because its our right to carry deadly weapons designed to kill people.

Right Mark, I'm sure the people involved in the gunfight were actually licensed to carry. But you're right, let's take away guns from law abiding citizens, that's going to stop all the violent crime. We all know if we make carrying handguns illegal that criminals will obey the law. Right?
