At least two people were killed when two houses exploded in Indianapolis overnight Saturday, according to a fire official. The cause of the blast is not yet known.
Witnesses described the scene as looking like a war zone, spokeswoman Bonnie Hensley from the Indianapolis Fire Department said.
The explosion damaged 80 homes in the neighborhood, including 26 that may or may not be inhabitable and five that are either leveled or will have to be demolished, said Adam Collins, deputy code enforcement director for Indianapolis.

We have narrowed it down to 3 things that might be the cause of the explosion, meth lab, someone building a bomb gone wrong or a meteorite.
More likely gas. Another source said that the house was for sale and the appliances had been stolen. Or, warm days and cool nights cause the gas furnace to ignite at night, and with fumes buildup, an explosion can occur.
I await for one of GODS self appointed messengers to come and explain this mystery.
Until then I will follow the reports of the mere men on the scene to find out the earthly reason.
Until then and either way, there be two. less houses and people
than yesterday.
What will take their place?
Who knows. It is just realestate.
Else where :
In the news,
people will die,
killed by meterites,
From the sky
Some wonder why,
But not I;
GODS on The Hill
It was their will,
And not for I,
To wonder why.

18 homes uninhabitable in the immediate blast area including 2 homes obliterated and four others destroyed by fire, the blast felt 3 miles away....something pretty strong caused this kind of blast.
Most likely a gas leak. Doesnt look like the kinda neighborhood where you would find a meth lab, but possible. And it couldnt have been a meteorite or that would have been reported by now. Not to mention there woulda been more houses destroyed.
I live here locally. The ATF has now been called in to investigate.
I have gathered from other news sources that many of the surrounding houses will have to be bulldozed, but some can be repaired...
In any case, whatever the cause of the blast (still under investigation), it packed one heck of a wallop.
Censored again: too many words, or too many words that are being avoided about this topic today?
I know the dirty syllables to avoid.
Some of the comments refcelt the classic fact that at times we can't see the forest for the trees. This was a new thicket, unlike any before it, and yet it's obvious value - that it fosters exchange - has gone unappreciated by some here. I for one considered it path-breaking. What can be improved, I think, is a few more "gotcha" questions. I also think that more than one candidate should answer a question at all times, but I got the feeling that this was a time-management issue.
