Hamas issues cease-fire conditions, Egyptian general says

Pressure is mounting for an end to the Israeli-Palestinian violence that has left dozens dead and hundreds wounded, with the U.N chief flying to the region to appeal for a cease-fire.

Meanwhile, the head of Egyptian intelligence has given an Israeli delegation a letter for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu containing Hamas conditions for a cease-fire, a general in Egyptian intelligence told CNN. There was no immediate confirmation from Israel.

Arab League ministerial delegation arrives in Gaza.

A ministerial delegation formed by the Arab League has arrived in Gaza to show support for Palestinians amid deadly Israeli airstrikes on the coastal enclave.

Blockades usually happen during a war... and as long as the Palestinians are willing the war to continue it means that they're happy with its results (including the blockade of Gaza).

CNN just reporting that Hammas is firing rockets due to Israeli blockade! Wrong. Hammas has vowed genocide of Israel and Jews. That's the reason. Israel continues to supply electricity and aid to Gaza. CNN also needs to correct reporting on the tragic death of their reporter's child. Turns oit was caused by a Hammas rocket.

Hamas SURELY is firing rockets due to Israeli blockade. If there was no blockade Hamas would use way more effective (and deadly) walking bombs as it did PRIOR to Israeli blockade.

Israel just needs to stop this bullying of the world! They are not as supreme as they think they are. My friend and her husband are flying there today for his sisters wedding. I pray they have a safe journey and a safe return.

Hamas issues "demands" for cease fire as if only Israelis need a cease fire and the Palestinians don't. This is WRONG... and it is time for Israel to convince the Palestinians that they need peace no less than the Israelis need it.

Can you translate this into English please? WHICH "elements" should be eliminated? Gaza WAS NOT given "back" as the Palestinians NEVER owned it. Gaza was given to the Palestinians and they've clearly demonsrtated their abilities in running a state of their own. Israel, however, has no intentions to annex Gaza and make it part of Israel. WHO is saying that the Palestinians should be "displaced or economically persecuted"?

I hate war! This is a perfect illustration! They are both right & both wrong & the only outcome is more death & devastation! In order to aquire peace one has to behave in a peaceful, diplomatic manner & use words not violence! Neither are doing that! There's a reason for the old addage "violence begets violence"!!
