Stampede kills at least 10 in eastern India

At least 10 people were killed in a stampede during a Hindu ritual in eastern India Monday, police said.

The crush occurred on a bridge along the banks of the river Ganges in Patna, capital of Bihar state, according to authorities.

The site was packed by hundreds of thousands of devotees celebrating the annual festival of Chhath, Patna's police chief Jayant Kant told CNN.

Poor Indians. I hope cowboys or rustlers didn't cause the stampede.

Before a lot of comments come insulting people "in that part of the world", let me just remind everyone:

Wal-Mart, black Friday, 2008, New York.

That was some poor greeter killed in a stampede by SHOPPERS in THIS part of the world.

The time has come to face reality. The time has come to accept facts. Most importantly, the time has come to make changes. India, for generations, has been dragging the region down. The culture is medieval, the values are barbaric and the economy is in shambles. An implosion is necessary and the need is immediate. let us bring this relic down and erase the memories of poverty and extremism. Hooyah !!
