2:00 pm ET - Obama pardons Thanksgiving turkey - It's a presidential tradition spanning more than six decades.  Fresh off his Asia trip, President Obama will pardon the National Thanksgiving Turkey during a White House Rose Garden ceremony.

3:00 pm ET - Macy's Thanksgiving Parade floats inflated - A holiday tradition older than the turkey pardon is the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York.  The day before the show goes on, the giant balloons are inflated.

    Baby Bruno was sitting in his grandmother's kitchen,
    watching her prepare the Thanksgiving meal.

    "What are you doing?" Bruno asked.

    "Oh, I'm just stuffing the turkey," his grandmother replied.

    "That's cool!" Bruno said.
    "Are you going to hang it next to the deer?"

    Last year I had my chance to do the traditional thing of shooting my own turkey for Thanksgiving . . . you should have seen the people scatter in the meat department.
