Kate Middleton is pregnant, palace confirms

Britain's Prince William and Catherine Middleton are expecting their first child after 19 months of marriage, the palace announced Monday.

The royal revelation came as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was admitted to a central London hospital with acute morning sickness. She is expected to be there for several days, the palace announcement said.

"Hospitalized for acute morning sickness for several days" means "We are putting the poor girl in the only place on Earth where she can get any privacy, please leave her alone"

Went into labor with my last pregnancy weighing 14 lbs less than I did when I first got pregnant. Baby weighed 8lbs. This condition is not a joking matter.

her morning sickness is no joke, you actually are sick 24/7 and can;t keep anything down, and you just continually heave...its very depressing and very scary as you worry about the baby, but the baby is ok, its the mother who is sick, sometimes it does not pass for up to 5 months..all they do is keep her hydrated and pump her full of fluids and nutrients...all the money in the world can;t make you feel better, is a very lonely cronic sickness....if she has it, she will be in and out of the hospital for months.......god speed....

Wonder whether Charles will ever be king. Now he has not only William, but also William's child waiting in the wings to step up, and he's getting to be an old man.

She is beautiful, he is handsome and a Prince! A baby is a precious gift! Pregnancy to most woman is a time of morning sickness, joy and fear but not a cause for a top CNN story! Too many of us are oh so caught up in money, greed, and sensationalism. Look at the many TV programs, "Real Housewives Of.....blah, blah, blah." Let;s concentrate on "Real people not Reel people!" Most of us are poor now and worry if we can pay or get a mortgage AND we are held captive by people WITH money.....Our founding fathers expected more "From" our fat cats, not more, "For" them.

Instead of all the BS and selfserving comments, why not just congratulate the young couple and be done with it!

Why would I? I don't know them, or care for them. They don't know me, or care for me either. Same goes for you.

If her morning sickness is severe enough for hospital admission, she may be carrying twins! Wonder how that works with succession?

Morning sickness is as individual as the mother. Not an indication of twins. Be happy for the couple. and recommend sea bands. I had a friend who had severe morning sickness with pregnancy number one, for number two she wore the sea bands(wrist bands for motion sickness).
She did so much better the second time around.

Twins are born a few minutes apart, so the one born first.
