Venezuela's Chavez arrives in Cuba for cancer surgery

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrived Monday in Cuba for surgery just days after saying his cancer had returned.

State-run VTV showed Chavez embracing Vice President Nicolas Maduro and other top Venezuelan officials before his plane took off early Monday.

On Saturday, Chavez announced that his cancer had returned and said he wanted Maduro to replace him if "something were to happen that would incapacitate me."

US media persist in calling him a socialist when in fact the greatest threat to Venezuelan Communitarianism is the socialist groups and secondarily the old oligarchs.
While most assuredly not a radical free market devotee today in Venezuela there are tens of thousands more small individualy owned small buiness that got their seed money training and further support from government funds than ever in its history.
If Chavez were to go the socialist will in all likelyhood tear the nation apart and eventually place it right back into oligarchs and foreign dominence once again.
