Lower gas prices give consumers a pre-holiday break

A November drop in gas prices drove down a key measure of inflation for U.S. consumers, the Labor Department said Friday.

The Consumer Price Index fell 0.3% during the month, thanks to 7.4% drop in gas prices last month alone, CNNMoney’s Chris Isidore reports.

The cost of going to work dropped 3 cents a gallon; 60 cents for a twenty gallon tank means 30 cents a week for two weeks, and another fill up.
MY power bill went from $70 to $113, wsg bill will be 6% higher than last one at $90/ mo, and every normal food item went up a penny or two per # or can.
The part time wage stayed the same so the 30 hours worked surely did not inflate but the cost of health insurance is do to go up some 8% for my, the lowest, coverage at first of year.
While somewhere a group of government clerks worked day and night to rig the figures to insure that their reports make someone smile and yet all I can do is shake my head at paying $3.75 a gallon for gasoline.

In the summer of 2007 in Fort Worth I paid $2.75 per gallon at the height of the summer drive time. Average in my neighborhood for November this year was about $3.29. I recently saw one station today that had posted &2.85.

So buying 200 gallons per month for my 99 F150 I save about $108 per month in gasoline or $1296 annually -IF THIS LASTS BUT IT WILL NOT SO DON't SPEND YOUR SAVINGS JUST YET! GAS WILL GO BACK UP.

As soon there is more unrest in the middle east as the oil future traders on wall street and in Houston like to say is the reason for all crude oil price increases..

Gasoline has never been cheaper when compared to gold, the real indicator of inflation. Inflation is here, and its gonna keep getting worse.
