If/until experts can conclusively rule out nuture/environment; a diagnosis of mental illness has become nothing more than a justification for bad choices and a subduer of guilt.
wow, sounds like the mother was a very greedy woman! her exhusband could have died mysteriously. all those funds plus $3 mil of life insurance! the gent can now sleep peacefully now. bet he had lived in fear.
You're an idiot, the life insurance policy is there to replace the $289,000 per year she would no longer receive.
Here is an idea that might work not just domesticly but internalionaly as well. Being as how t for the last 40 years the US with many european nations being complicit and or profiting from those killings; With our neighbor to our north being one of the most profitable benefactors of our killing lets just outlaw being Dutch French german swiss nowegian australian British Figi and all the ex sovietbloc nations as well.
Why are people so concerned with the 2nd amendment anyway? Freedom of speech, as well as many other rights, have already been violated by the government. You can't verbally assault a police officer, or shout fire in a movie theater. The government has already violated the peoples rights, and it they want to, they'll do it agian.
Instead of infringing on the 2nd amendment right to bear arms, there needs to be stricter control of bullet production/sales especially with automatic and semi-automatic weapons. This seems to be the weapon of choice for all the wacko's who are drawn to large crowds of helpless victims.
Why
GUN CONTROL: YES, one part of the problem! WE are gun crazy! WHY is it that , assault type rifles, have become the thing to have? There is NO reason to own these types of weapons! YES, I have heard all of the EXCUSES for owning them, but that is all it is, EXCUSES! MENTAL ILLNESS: YES, another part of the problem! However, I can personally say that the system is full of holes and is NOT working! I have a grand son, diagnosed as bi polar. He has been thrown out of EVERY school he has attended! Including pre K! Fighting, kicking, racial slurs, physical attacks, you name it. He is now 19! He has beaten his mother, assaulted others and police officers. ALL efforts to have him put in a home for treatment and medication has FAILED! THEY say he is OK? Today he is on his own, walking the streets. A time bomb waiting to go off! How many cases like this are walking around our country?
AT last a person who shows a lot of common sence . I realy feel for the situation you are in, I find it very sad the a nation the likes of America can not look after there most vunerable people and you are left feeling you have no where to turn. A socitey should be measured by the compassion it shows to its most vuerable. As far as guns are concerned and reading previous posts there seems to be an opinion that guns are required to defend themselves against fellow citizens , now that is what i call a socitey that is sick and the reason for having an assault wepon is a form of arms race ( i have a bigger gun than you )
Your looking.g for someone to blame...blame his mother...not the president...this is not
This has nothing to do with politics...and if someone starts killing with a kitchen knife...would we need stricter laws for that too?
How about no injured or dead children...how about not keeping guns in the house where children can find them...stricter gun laws won't stop someone from getting a gun...special needs or not
WOW, when you read some of these comments you can see why our country is in the toilet! This unspeakable tragedy happened in OUR country, where WE expect, because we think we are above it, that something like this would never happen! OUR society has NO common sense when it comes to weapons. WE are gun crazy! We make EXCUSES continually for WHY we need them. WE scream that having more weapons will make us safer. WE listen to those BIG companies that beat us up as to why we should own guns, but forget that they are in the business of making MONEY!
Millions of Americans lose their lives everyday due to Senseless Acts of Violence. My cousin was a victim of the Beltway DC Sniper Attacks in 2002. How much Senseless can you get ? Now all of a sudden its a big issue to stop gun control in the wake of young kids being gunned down in Connecticut. Give me a break !!
Would it be fair to say that Minorities are killed in Senseless Acts everyday. We dont go to the extreme to prevent another one from taking place.....right ?? The fact remains, the only reason why the government wants action is that those kids where WHITE in Newtown, CT and we cant have that happening in America.
