Nelson Mandela back home, playing with grandkids

Former South African President Nelson Mandela, at home after a long hospital stay, is alert and playing with his grandchildren, his granddaughter Zaziwe Manaway told CNN exclusively Friday.

Mandela, who is 95, is aware of social media rumors that he's close to death, Manaway said. "That is absolutely not true. My grandfather is well," she said. "It can be very very hurtful for us to hear these messages out there in the social media that our grandfather is going to go home to die. It is insensitive."

  3. Hide Behind

    While the life and times of Nelson Mandela are interesting the man himself is nowheres near amazing nor is any member of his family who have all proven to be no more than petty exploiters of what international propaganda made possible.
    This myth biilding program also lets South Africa hide behind what its reality of today is, a thouroughly corrupt and still divided by tribal racism of elitist blacks who fid not throw off the corrupt economic system of its once white rulershipbut joined in that corruption.
    The myths of Pacifist Mandela; the Black Ghandi of africa are all lies.
    He was the head of the old communist tactics of three fronts, his being the active militant front.
    Yet also left out of leftist feel good history is US active campaign to end S. Africas growing militancy and its nuclear program as well.
    Oh well. Heroes come and go and his face was as good as any to worship.

    Why dont ever report on the real issues like current legislation, congress inability to go their job, real news, and not random bs.

    What, in truth now, did the man Mandela actualy do besides serve as a media inspired Figurehead?
    The history is interesting and especially theways that turnedthe leader of a millitant faction of the third prong of communist revolutionary tactics int that of Being the Black Ghandi of Africa.
    It was not by S Africans leadership it was so until outside financial backing made it worth their while to pretend it was so.
    Enough said as stepping upon american heroes toes and misconceptions is a no no.

    Mr. Mandela is a distinguished and elderly man. He and his family deserve the privacy that they have requested.

    Good Morining gang. Have not been here in months. Glad Mandella is feeling better. Snowing here in Missouri, finally. It looks beautiful this morning. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a better New Year.{that is if the congress can get off their buttocks.}

    Morining Philip our snow is wet and heavy, nothing like your ski snow. Are you a skier? I will check out the hoax. I do not think Sandy was a hoax. I only see feeble minded people preying on these poor people, they should be publicly cane, tarred and feathered and/or prosecuted, and made examples of. (losers).

    See? My posted comment about FB accounts being deleted for showing news video of police arresting a second shooter was just-now deleted! Why?
