Images taken out of context in rape case, defense attorney contends

Images and messages posted to social media that appear to depict the sexual abuse of a girl in Steubenville, Ohio, have been taken out of context, the attorney for one of the teenagers charged in the incident said Friday.

"One of the main concerns we have is that this matter has been, by special interest groups all over the world, tried in the court of public opinion," said Walter Madison, the attorney for defendant Ma'lik Richmond.

Richmond and another 16-year-old member of the town's highly regarded football team, Trent Mays, are charged with raping the girl at a series of back-to-school parties in August.

The case gained national attention after The New York Times reported on it in December and an activist hacker group this week posted a previously unpublicized video of teenagers in the small Ohio River valley town cracking jokes about the case.

Jesus promises eternal life, Mary...you, as Chick-a-dee, should know that.

    To whomever this fits.

It is easier to preach ten sermons, than it is to live but one.

It is really good to see you too. Of course they will keep that nonsense up and delete others. Our New Year in Az was great. I'm glad you had a good time at Hard Rock, its a great place to have a good time. You must have been dancing up a storm. Your poor legs, I hope they recovered. The big question did you win?

In answer to the big question. Let me just say, it gave me a great and happy start to the new year. That ( and few crown and cokes ) is probabaly put me in a dancing mood. We hadn't had that much fun in eons. And what made it eve better was there were no strangers there that night. It seemed like on big family. Too bad it can't always be like that.

Wow, my wording is atrocious tonight. It should be, "is probably what put me in a dancing mood. "

@bobcat(in a hat) at least we are changing the subject. Crown and Cokes = A Happy Friend. You did indeed have a good start to the New Year and may it be always so for you in 2013.

@ JIF, They're all apart of the same party; don't fool yourself.
"JUDGE: Why did you commit this heinous act on this young woman's body?
DEFENDANT: Jesus told me to do it. To give her life."
Facts are Facts, Joey. Something so valuable came out of a heinous act when a women is at the receiving end of that act.
Name anything that a man could possible receive, just one.
Btw, many will came in my Father's name baring false witness. Ya know?

@ banasy, again, advocating the 'choice' , when one of the choices is to CHOOSE to murder, is in fact condoning the choice to kill.
You said you "support the right to choose" , so you support the right to choose MURDER ! Own it banasy, you said!

And ive read this story over a dozen times, no where does it say this girl was pregnant nor anything about an abortion so why has that even become the topic? Ra ype is WRONG and ILLEGAL no matter what gender the victim is. Also as a victim i can tell you its one of the most horrifying experience one can ever go thru! And NO ONE has the RIGHT to minimize it!
