News coming in now indicate that the President is set to tap Hagel as Def. Secy. And I do so hope that he stands firm.
The chant among the GOPers is "Hagel is not enough pro-Israel'
@ saywhat, What about ME! Am I chopped liver or what? One moment
In response to Philip's 3:12 post. Science it self has proven God's existence.
"The First Law of Thermodynamics is stated as follows: Matter and energy can be neither created nor destroyed. There are no natural processes that can alter either matter or energy in this way. This means that there is no new matter or energy coming into existence and there is no new matter or energy passing out of existence. All who state that the universe came into existence from nothing violate the first law of thermodynamics, which was established by the very scientific community who now seem willing to ignore it. In summary, this law plainly demonstrates that the universe, and all matter and energy within it, must have had a divine origin—a specific moment in which it was created by someone who was all-powerful."
@ Mary:
It was a Gy, using the power of vril.
No scientific theory in acceptance ever stated that the universe started from nothing........... Only that from a relatively small group (but large in mass) of gravitational compressed sub particles or plasma that continues to expand did the universe evolve. As the old saying goes "You don't get something from nothing" 🙂
@ PT, 😉 I to wouldn't say God is nothing.
Nite all, I'm tuckered out
Lol, Just teasing you. Carry on guys 😉
@Mary, I left a comment for you on the Colorado theatre shooting.
My, Philip, you are so defensive; I was merely pointing out that it was amusing that you would use a quote about the lunar landing to support your position on ID when, in fact, you don't believe there was one.
Lol.
And, supposing that your argument for ID is true, there is no evidence that the designer was divine...but you already know about those arguments, so I shall not even entertain them.
Shut my mouth?
Never.
There is just as much evidence supporting the lunar landings as there are against; that's the nature of the conspiracy theories.
I bet you are all that preaching you been doing.
Even before Arizona State University spent two years digitally photgraphing each NASA "moonrock" and found a copyright symbol prop makers forgot to erase, anyone who had spent just a few dozen hours looking-in to the lunar landing understood it to be a hoax.
My point WAS, however, that the worlds brightest minds depend on the natural laws of physics for EVERYTHING, incl. rocket trajectories. Without these laws telling us what can and cannot be done, scientists would be lost.
2 of the world most-famous scientists, Einstein and von Braun both reached the same conclusion President Obama and congress did: There MUST be a designer, a creator, a true God.
The vast majority of Americans...some 88% of US, profess belief in the God of the Holy Bible, including an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY from BOTH sides of the aisle that usually seperates congress.
Just as you tell GOPers to live with Obama being president, that obama is OUR president, YOU live with the fact that the god of the bible is OUR NATIONAL GOD.
Why would one have to live with the god of the bible being our national GOD, when that is their GOD as well; they are content.
@ PT, Here's another piece of evidence that God exist ... Who else could create all the scientific wonders of this world
Doubters, consider this! Scientists in Boulder, Colorado, at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, have built an optical clock that is even more accurate. How? By measuring time with light. Time is now measured in what are called femtoseconds—or a million-billionth of a second. These clocks use mercury ions at their “heart” to count the number of times they vibrate in a second.
Optical frequencies regularly oscillate at one million-billion (1,000,000,000,000,000—one quadrillion) times per second. By using lasers and “cooled down” mercury ions, scientists have harnessed God’s precision to better measure time. Optical clocks only slip by one second every 30 BILLION years! This is 1,000 times more accurate than atomic clocks!

And the pulpit envy continues.
