No military solution for Syria, envoy says

U.N. special envoy Lakhdar Brahimi said there is "no military solution" in Syria, after meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns at the United Nations in Geneva.

Brahimi's statement came amid reports of the capture by rebels of a strategic northern Syria city, fresh fighting and a mounting refugees crisis in the country.

    Well aint that just swell! And these people in the UN are sposed to be so smart yet they cant come up with a solution for this? Take Assad OUT!

    Military solution has never worked. There never was an intent for solution by those Powers who initiated the Syrian implosion,. And now that it gets out of hand no one knows what to do. Brilliant.
    taking Assad out would hardly make much of a difference now.

    The "united nations", what a joke. Just like our "elected children", who cannot even agree on how to tie their shoes, the UN only results in "what is good for those countries involved", as in what is in it for me, instead of actually helping!
