Obama to announce gun plans tomorrow
It didn't take long for U.S. President Barack Obama to decide how he wants to try to reduce gun violence.
Obama (pictured) and Vice President Joe Biden will announce Obama's plan for reducing gun violence on Wednesday, the White House said Tuesday afternoon. Biden had given recommendations to Obama after leading a task force on the issue last week.
Obama's proposal will be comprehensive, and will include legislative options for banning assault weapons as well as steps to address high-capacity magazines and federal background checks, White House spokesman Jay Carney said.
Obama and Biden will be joined by children from around the country who wrote letters to the president, Carney said.

GOD IS THE ANSWER. When we took God out of our schools we let the devil in. He keeps showing up with guns and evil and keeps killing our children before we can introduce them to God. We don't have a gun problem we have a people problem with to many people who do not know God and who He is and what He is capable of. PUT GOD BACK INTO OUR SCHOOLS.

Come on Obama sign that bill to ban Military Style Weapons. Long past due. So the NRA will lose a couple of dollars however look at all the children's lives that you could save. Any politician who accepts a contribution from this ignorant company will not get my vote regardless the party.
No, not spiritual, but taking the guns away means only the true criminals will have them. You will not be able to defend yourselves from the criminals or the government-which you should also consider a threat to your freedom.
Killing children is a horrible thing but this did not happen because of a gun. it happened because someone went nuts-o with a gun. This has happened over and over again, Now, because children were killed, we are going to do something??? Really? They are going to start on assault guns because that's the quickest path to more gun laws and restrictions to eventually include all guns.
I have no trust in this government whatsoever and I am frightened for our future as free people.
Thank you @ Motronical, you are exactly right! It will begin with assault rifles and then snowball into ALL guns! And the same thing with first the 2nd amendment and then soon after we will have lost ALL our rights! Our government has become a bunch of egotrippinmaniacs!

I am a US citizen living in Canada. Canada had stick gun laws in effect. I can't recall the type of shootings here as in the US. I am a hunter and own firearms. Maxium load is 3 and no assult type weapons. Biden should study his neibour to the noth and do some lessons learned.

As a Veteran Flight Medic in the US Army who has treated many different types of wounds, I have found that evil needs not a gun to and carry out disgusting/hateful acts. A barbaric act is not throwing someone to the wolves, but throwing someone to the wolves without a means to defend themselves.
FACT: gun laws don't work. Fact: Germany tried gun registration, then confiscated all citizens' guns, then came Hitler. Fact: The American Revolution was the result of tyrannical government.
