Sheriff: Teen accused of killing 5 wanted a massacre

A teenager accused of gunning down his parents and three siblings in their New Mexico home had hoped to go on a killing spree and die in a shootout with police, investigators said Tuesday.

Nehemiah Griego, 15, will stand trial as an adult in the weekend killings, prosecutors announced. He was arrested Saturday night, after deputies found the bodies of his mother, father, brother and two of his sisters in their home on the outskirts of Albuquerque.

He wanted a 'spree' not just 5 bodies.
We should have more guns in every home and on every person. Even easier access for everyone to weapons including military style weapons and ammo.
How else can we justify being crazy.

Yeah I know, plus not letting people with mental problems have them. But the obvious is not obvious to some.

Too many teenagers today aspire to go out in a blaze of infamy after a shooting spree.
When I was a teenager, in the time of Ayn Rand, we wanted to be doctors, rich businessmen, movie stars, and presidents of the USA.
It's true that guns don't kill people, but today we have so many people who want to kill people that many guns are too dangerous for us to have.

The man in CO was known to have mental problems. The young man in Newtown was on the asberger? spectrum. We have to weed them out and enforce the laws we already have, the mental part is already in the brad bill.

Lets not forget the Las Vegas police Lt. who killed his wife and Young son. Reason may never be known.
I also have a firefighter in my town who was arrested for threats to his wife.. You can't count the guns he had on your hands and feet, no permit.

The policeman in Vegas killed his wife & son. tragic. He never wanted to die massacring innocent people & children in a public place.
The other incident involving a fire fighter @1608 mentions similarly was a family affair.
Its easy access to guns of all kinds for civilians be they adults or young, who feel empowered holding these lethal weapons in their hands to kill at will and as many as they want which is the problem.
