Bundle up, forecasters warn as arctic blast hits eastern US

The National Weather Service forecasters urged caution early today as they warned "bitterly cold conditions" were expected to continue across much of the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast into the weekend.

Exposure to subfreezing temperatures has left at least three people dead in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, according to authorities.

In New York City, I'm getting my 74-year-old body to work today, but my young pupils, professional musicians, are hinting that it's too cold for them to get to their lessons by asking whether I'll get there or not.

Joey- I spent 3 days on the Minnesota/Canadian border in February 35 years ago and learned that my body was better suited for the winters in West Texas.
