Beyoncé: I lip-synced during inauguration performance

Responding to the controversy about whether she sang live or lip-synced during her performance at the presidential inauguration earlier this month, Beyoncé Knowles said Thursday that she "decided to sing along with the prerecorded track."

"I did not feel comfortable taking a risk," she said.

Wow. You guys have the most tacky journalists ever. Reporting falsified information, and misconstruing her words. I actually WATCHED the Press Conference. She never said ANY of that. She admitted to singing over a prerecorded track. Tacky journalsim guys. Tacky.

I'm not really sure how "singing over a prerecorded track" differs from lip-synching, when the main point is that the microphone isn't on. I think she's still in denial and quibbling about the meaning of the word "lip-synching".

She sung the anthem live at the football conference and proved that she can sing the song and has an amazing voice. As she said she's a perfectionist and for those who aren't singers, the star spangled banner is one of the most difficult songs to sing. Who cares if she sung to a pre-recorded version. Why are people so judgmental? Worry about your issues before you slander someone else. She has a GOD given talent. People make mistakes it's life get over it!!

Her talent is sleeping with Jay Z... And he also has no talent. You can't see this because of your generation...

My son was in the room when I was listening to a Gino Vanelli song that was recorded live and he could not believe it when the crowd started cheering. His generation has very little musical talent. In fact he sits in his room with a keyboard and computer and makes comparable music to whats on the radio today and has not had any training. That's what is the problem nowadays... garbage in = garbage out!!!!

The sign of an educated mind is the ability to appreciate something else without necessarily liking it.

The sign of an educated mind is being able to appreciate things that are real. If you are good at something show the world... take a risk at being real. And if you mess up... Own it. But at least be real and try.

who cares there are shootings going on in our children's schools. Who cares if Beyonce wants to sing or not! What are we going to do about the safety of our children

I'm sure we'll fake concern and fake solutions to school shootings just like we fake live performances.

If it was that cold . . . how did Miss K. Clarkson do it??? She is a singer (of this day and age) just like this nasty gal with a tricky name, Beyonce!! And, yes i agree . . . with many of the other comments . . . "there was no performance, she came out there with a nasty black, see thru parts, dress and showed off . . . she gave no live performance which is just disrespectful!! Case closed. I do hope the entire stadium BOOS her this Sunday!!

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? It was her voice and just to make sure she doesn't mess up, she pre-recorded it. I could understand all this fuss, if someone else had sung this song altogether – and she was just pretending. Folks, go and worry about something that needs to be worried about – let this pass!

The difference is authenticity, the basis of all forms of art. It's the reason we pay to go see musicians live when we already hear them on the radio everyday. To stand in front of the President and fake a performance to your fellow Americans is disrespectful. She might as well have let John Boehner take her place, at least then it would pass as a comedy act and the authenticity would remain unimpeded.

Beyonce did what most of us do, while driving to work, and our favorite song comes on the radio. Somehow... we don't get the same salary or royalty treatment.

I never liked Beyonce . . . she acts like she is something SPECIAL . . . excuse me, why? And, that so called voice is no better than JLo, Queen Latifah, and all the rest of the newer generation . . . WHO REALLY THINK THEY CAN SING! None, absolutely NONE of this newer generation will ever be able to compare themselves to the older greats; e.g., Diana Ross, Etta James, Dionne Worwick, etc. I will say that Whitney Houston had a great voice, and coming right up behind her is Mariah Carey . . . they have voices; not Beyonce! Sorry.

Do all the adults out there like Ms. Beyonce and the "shaking and vibrations" she puts on during a performance . .. and calls it dancing? You would be crazy if you let your kids watch this!
