8:05 am ET - National Prayer Breakfast - Held annually on the first Thursday in February, the National Prayer Breakfast brings together politicians, religious leaders and others from around the world.  President Obama will speak before the breakfast this morning.

10:00 am ET - Benghazi hearing - Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey testify on last year's tragedy in Benghazi before the Senate Armed Services Committee.

11:00 am ET - NTSB Dreamliner briefing - What's wrong with Boeing's 787 Dreamliner aircraft?  NTSB officials will discuss their investigation into the jet's woes.

12:30 pm ET - Obama talks to Democrats - Following the National Prayer Breakfast, President Obama takes a short trip to Leesburg, Virginia, to speak with House Democrats participating in a retreat.

2:30 pm ET - John Brennan on the hot seat - CIA director nominee John Brennan is expected to be asked about the U.S. drone controversy and other matters when he is questioned by members of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

    Since we can't seem to get our act together and the mighty Congress has failed the people of US of A, prayers perhaps may be the only resort.
