Iran's newest warplane something from 'GI Joe?'

First it was monkeys in space (or not) and now it’s “GI Joe” fighter jets. Not the best of times for Iran’s aviation and aerospace programs, at least if you listen to the skeptics.

First there were doubts about Tehran’s claim it sent a monkey into space in late January.  After photos of two different monkeys that were aboard the alleged one-monkey space shot surfaced, Iran media said there was a photo mix-up and, yes, there was just one Iranian monkey in space.

Then this week Iran unveiled what it said was its new high-tech stealth fighter plane. The jet shown in pictures on the website of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been the butt of jokes all week from aviation bloggers.

“This aircraft looks a lot like an old GI Joe toy,” wrote one blogger.

And from another, “This has to be a joke, right?”

  1. I find this amusing

If you look that photos with the top down, it sure doesn't look like that full-sized pilot could fit in it with the top down. The photo where he is sitting in it, his head and helmet are at least 6 inches higher than the back of the seat, but when the top is closed, there is probably no more than 6 inches of clearance from the back of the seat to the top of the bubble. Maybe it's just a bad angle 😉

  3. Overheard In Tehran

Ahmadine-poop: So, the prototype was well received; when do we begin production?
Eveel-scientist: Yes, about that..., uhmmm –
    Ahmadine-poop: Why do you hesitate?
Eveel-scientist: Great leader, we have *completed* production.
    Ahmadine-poop: Impossible!
Eveel-scientist: Fearless One – the Qaher 313 utilzed all of our courty's most technologically advanced materials and was designed and assembled by our greatest minds! There are no more materials! Our scientists are exhausted!!
    Ahmadine-poop: Unacceptable!! .
    Ahmadine-poop: Summon the Second-in-command-scientist!
Second-in-command-scientist: You called for me O Mighty One!
Ahmadine-poop: So, the prototype was well received . . .

Oh, great. Now we are going to have to deploy squadrons of flying magnifying glasses so that when the Iranians enter our air space we can melt the wings off their stealth planes.
    There goes the Pentagon budget.

iran introduced it's latest air technology, the Wright Flyer III...with it's ability to stay in flight for up to 11 minutes. It's completely stealth, like seagulls and pigeons, the aircraft does not show up on radar. It can carry 1 6oz bomb that can cause anywhere from no damage to little damage on infrastructure, particularly effective against horses that are easily startled by things dropping.

The fact that all news of technological developments ( Nuclear, Space, Military) coming out of Iran can be considered not even close to the truth (none existence), but I am also wondering why these types of nonsense is bypassing CIA and other Intelligence agencies before they are published by the news media.

I think it is the Reality. It is the crawling before the walk and a run. It is Not the case of only one Iranian Engineer. I think you want to check NASA engineering departments. Many key positions are Iranians. You want to check the Engraved Names on curiosity rover recently sent to Mars. You will find names are the name of Iranians. you want to check the percentage of Iranian Engineers working for NASA? you will be surprised, it will be close to 30% (based on 2004). Open your eyes, reality is out there, denial wont work any more. These are the work of Iranians which sadly used/ abused by that government.

I have checked and none of it is true. Many of NASA's projects are partly militaristically involved and by law the US only issues security clearances to born citizens. As far as the high percentage of NASA scientists being Iranian, trust me it is nothing but a big fat rummer.
