Manhunt continues for ex-cop wanted in 3 deaths

Police continued the massive manhunt for Christopher Dorner early Friday in a California mountain town despite the bitter cold, the lack of tips and the chilling fact that the angry ex-cop may also be looking for them.

As quickly as Dorner had emerged on the scene with his guns, bravado and bitter manifesto, the burly man, who was wanted for three murders, had disappeared, it seemed.

I thought cnn was politically correct? Well I am offended by the term "manhunt." They should use personhunt or criminalhunt or something to that effect instead.

It will be interesting to see what degree of support Christopher will get from the public, especially from the LA area. The LAPD are not known for their even-handed approach to policing or race relations. My guess is that Christopher is on his way to becoming somewhat of a folk hero to many local residents.

THIS is the real problem with guns, rifles, knives, etc. The CRAZIES not the rifle or weapon itself! I get so tired of the scare tactics used by CNN and the rest of the media to try and get legal gun, rifles outlawed. And using the deaths of innocent people to do it!! Why don't they report on the millions of lives saved WITH these tools! Any time someone uses a tool in the wrong way it may hurt another. Seems like the only way I have as a legal gun owner is to not buy or use the products advertises on the media.

I want to know if the officers involved in the drive by which injured women paper delivery workers are going to be investigated? Were the victims armed or something? I'm not hearing much about that. Goes to show what the lapd is capable of.

In light of the new weapons restrictions being thrown at us from Feinstein and the likes, the LAPD is lucky that those two women they shot up the other day weren't armed. I feel like these women would have been legally and morally justified in directing their own gunfire at the LAPD officers who were attempting to kill them. This is absolutely disgusting. It's these kinds of actions on the part of LAPD that legitimize Dorner's manifesto. You can't just shoot American citizens because you think that they might be breaking the law. The 2nd amendment exists for exactly this purpose alone. These women would have been justified in returning the cops fire with weapons fire of their own because they would have been acting in self defense. LAPD, get your act together.

OK, I AM READY!! Ready for those commenting on this "manifesto", to tell me that they are professionals, profilers, etc.. Ready for all those "nice gun folks" to start screaming about gun rights. Ready for the excuse's, explainations, have the "inside track" on what REALLY happened. IF, and I am saying IF, this guys story about being fired, is true, then WHY not get an attorney and sue? The LAPD, sadly, has a HISTORY of problems and this COULD be just another example? With that said, this guy has murdered, OOPS, let me be politically correct, he has been accused, of murdering at least 3 people, BUT his actions have made ALL of his statements MUTE! And God forbid IF he does have a .50 cal. rifle. They can "reach out and touch" someone at ranges of over a mile!

I believe everything he mentioned in his last resort letter about the LAPD. He seems to be a very intelligent man who just felt like he was done wrong. They should be punished for what they have done and been doing for years. They have had blood on their hands for many many years, even before Rodney King. I don't agree with him killing people and think he could of got justice a better way. I hope justice will be served and people will open their eyes to see how the minority communities are treated by these LAPD gangsters everyday in LA.

This is why we need High Cap magazines for home defense. Trained professions only hit target 15% under pressure.

Trigger happy cops finally got one of there own to shoot back. Come and get me copper, if you can find me before I get you. Give a bum a badge, gun, cuffs, a billy club, a uniform , a cop car, a ticket book, and the judge and he thinks he's above the law.

LAPD should hunt themselves for wrecklessly shooting wrong people. It is shameful to see how trigger-happy and panicing cops can be ! Talking about gun control .... even cops can't control their own guns !

Would the LAPD be this zealous if the three people killed had not been related in some way to their deparment? I don't think so.
