Texas parents agree not to pressure teen to have abortion

UPDATE: The parents of a 16-year-old, pregnant Texas girl agreed Monday in a state court not to coerce her to have an abortion, an anti-abortion group representing the girl said.

An anti-abortion legal organization in Texas has won a restraining order against the parents of a 16-year-old girl, saying that the couple is trying to coerce the teen into having an abortion.

The Texas Center for Defense of Life argued that Roe v. Wade, the historic 1973 Supreme Court decision that guaranteed women the right to have an abortion, works both ways.

"Roe was about the right to choose," center founder and attorney Stephen Casey told CNN on Monday. "This young woman has the right to choose to have her child. I've spoken to her on numerous occasions and she's very assertive."

Mary Baker Eddy, were you aware that 83% of women getting abortions are Christians? This is unforgivable. The church needs to do better.

you erroneously stated said that before banasy...christians do not have a monopoly on abortions...the industry is showing it's true colors...which is to invoke sanger's hateful ideology and principles of marxisms...abortion is not a religious problem...abortion is diabolical.

Women who obtain abortion represent every religious affiliation. 43% of women obtaining abortion identify themselves as Protestant, and 27% as Catholic; and 13% of abortion patients describe themselves as born-again or Evangelical Christians.
      Try again.

proper closure would be for y'all to apologize...you and yours used this story to justified abortion, to disregard the life of the unborn, and improperly linked as a determinant for the unborn's existence the economic status of its parental household.

I have only one question to ask and then im going to bed. @ Rascal, what if you were brutally rayped by one or more men and found yourself pregnant? Could you lovingly raise that child with all the love every child deserves? Or would you resent that child because of what you went thru concieving that child?

It is very easy for a person to make a judgement on a person they will never meet; this is the same type of person who will ostrasize the same girl for getting P G in the first place.
