TV anchor resigns after choking accusation

A news anchor for WCBS in New York City has resigned following allegations that he choked his wife in their Connecticut home, a WCBS spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The anchor, Rob Morrison, said in a statement released Wednesday that his "family is my first and only priority right now."

    poor man should not have to resign...his family needs the income...just send him to anger management class...tv management should reconsider that option...

    @ Rascal, i agree. Frankly it should have no bareing on his job at all. But i do agree he definitely needs anger management and quite possibly his wife may need it as well. And since none of us were there none of us know what exactly happened.

      No bearing? Are you feebasing coke???

      He is obviously a loose cannon and for his employers (who has the guy more hours of the day than his personal friends or family do) he is a massive risk. If he tries to choke a co-worker, you'd be the first to blame the station for allowing him to be a loose cannon at work.

    the guy probally got intellectually frustrated cuz he couldn't keep up with his wife waggin tongue...so he decided to choke her...poor man...don't he kno' from living with his mamma...he can't win no verbal argument wittah women?
