U.S. commander: Iran sanctions not working

Severe sanctions against Iran - under fire for its nuclear activities - are not working, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East said on Tuesday.

Gen. James Mattis, the commander of U.S. Central Command, made the statement in response to a question from U.S. Sen. James Inhofe, an Oklahoma Republican.

Mattis said at a Senate hearing, he said, "we have to continue sanctions" to keep Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capability, "but have other options ready."

Irans just not being cooperative and eventually will break under duress because their people are suffering and as usual they can't live under this strangle hold from us and the UN forever..Something will give and you'll see them either make a mistake leading to a military conflict or something in their nuclear industry might go awry making them ask the nuclear community of scientists for help!!Something has to give sometime,it always does!!

Translation of US commanders comments :

Our congrssmen have been telling me that Israel is itching to attack Iran. So to make it sound like we have no other choice, I have made this statement. We're just waiting for the weather to warm up a little and then Israel can have at it.

Exactly @ bobcat and s kel! And what right do we have to tell Iran what they can or cannot do? Particularly when the US and Israel both have nuclear weapons.

shame on Israel to use this excuse of nuclear weapons again first with Iraq. only the iraqi people suffered they use this excuse
again with Iran and north Korea these countries need to develop and grow as like America and Russia it would best to work with these growing countries war would not be in Americas best interest but suits Israel just fine to use America as escape goat
