Dow sets another record, then dips

After making a brief appearance in record territory Tuesday morning, the Dow Jones industrial average might be cooling off a bit.

The Dow rose 5 points at the open to set an all-time intraday high - about 14,452. But then it dipped a little into the red, taking a pause in the absence of fresh catalysts to extend a recent record-setting run.

The Dow has ended at a record for five straight days. But analysts say a pullback at this stage wouldn't come as much of a surprise and should be considered healthy.

    Wrong thread I know. Can anyone here tell me how this president we have is going to tackle the deficit? It's fast approaching twenty trillion. What has the prez put forward specifically? How much? Where specifically? The answer is he has put nothing on the table in specifics. It's only our kids kids future at stake while Obama plays politics To get control of the house

    Lol @ Kelly, i will. The Prez cant do it alone as im sure you already know. I do realize youre just trying to bait people but the reality is he CANNOT do it alone! There is no "i" in team and if he is supposed to make all decisions than wth are we payin those idiots in Congress??

      it's not baited. A very straight forward question. I see Paul ryan has put a plan on the table and you watch. Obama will slam it as usual. And Chrissy can u give me a specific on how Obama is going to tackle this monster? Anyone?

    Heres a very straight answer. Only Obama can answer that question but it wont matter. Whatever he proposes simply gets shot down but that useless bunch of brats in Congress.

      please. That was a duck n run answer. That's the kind of mentality that has permeated America. Nothing is any bodies fault anymore. No accountability whatsoever. The fact is that obonehead has done absolutely nothing to tackle this monster. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch and u guys on here know it but deflect dodge and elude. Thx Chrissy for proving my point
