2 killed as car slams into pit at race

A car lost control and slammed into the pits at a racetrack in California on Saturday, killing two spectators, authorities told CNN affiliate KXTV.

The crash took place at Marysville Raceway Park shortly after 6 p.m. (9 p.m. ET) during the California Sprint Car Civil War Series.

The Yuba County Sheriff's Office told the affiliate that one of the victims was 68 years old, and the other 14.

    Skeetersin,i can read your frustrations,and respect your concern for others,but your thinking is just that,your thinking,dont you think that is a gross approach of outlawing the sport of car racing,and making all others pay for this tragedy,?when statisticly ,this kind of incident thankfuly doesnt happen very often,skeetersin,we live in an unperfect world right now,and evil,bad things happen,your liberal approach to life in general is not good for you,nor for others,Mprayer is that this kind of thinking will end sooner than later,i give you the respect to live your life as you choose,you give me mine.
