Colorado prison chief shot dead at his door, authorities say

[Posted at 10:19 a.m. ET] The executive director of Colorado's prison system was shot when he opened his door, according to a 911 caller that police have identified as a relative in the home.

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies arrived at Tom Clements' Black Forest home - about 20 miles outside Colorado Springs - to find the 58-year-old dead Tuesday night, said Lt. Jeff Kramer.

[Posted at 9:47 a.m. ET] The executive director of Colorado's prison system has been found dead in his home, and authorities believe someone killed him, a spokesman for Gov. John Hickenlooper said early Wednesday.

Tom Clements, executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, was found dead at his home in Black Forest, Colorado, spokesman Eric Brown said.

If he had a gun, this never would have happened.

Because a gun makes its owner a clairvoyant?

Keane, I think what Bombo is saying is that if the prison leader had a gun then the gunman would naturally have had a bigger gun since killers have bigger guns, and then that would have woken up the neighbors who would bring their owns guns and gun down the gunman. Gun.

Someone may have had a grudge against the prison director.
I hear that you have to let go of resentment, and that forgiveness is the only road to freedom. A spiritualist medium told me that hatred caused cancer.

The guy was in charge of PRIVATE PRISONS. Also known as slave labor camps in the industrialized world.

Do you know how much it costs to call your family from prison, and how many HOURS you have to work for a FIVE MINUTE call? If you don't, you should look into it.

"Tom Clements, the executive director of Colorado's prison system, was shot dead when he opened the door of his Black Forest home." cnn

I told you guys this stuff was going to happen. I know history & I know human behavior. We are in the beginning of a really nasty uprising. Governments states etc. are just blatantly disregarding the public. There's no hiding from this. It will only get worse. Unless states & governments stop abusing there authority. I don't see that happening so more people will die like this. It’s inevitable. God help us all

It is so sad. I am wandering why he answered the door without screening the intruder?
