North Dakota enacts strict abortion limit

What is being called the nation's toughest anti-abortion measure was signed into law on Tuesday by North Dakota's governor. The law bans most abortions when a fetal heartbeat can first be detected, which is at about six weeks.

The law sets the stage for an almost guaranteed legal showdown, with proponents saying the law is intended to test the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that made abortion legal.

"Although the likelihood of this measure surviving a court challenge remains in question, this bill is nevertheless a legitimate attempt by a state legislature to discover the boundaries of Roe v. Wade," Gov. Jack Dalrymple said in a statement.

      It's not about children. This has nothing to do with future children. It's about repressing people's core freedoms in their right to chose their own religious beliefs. It is not socially sustainable, and is anti-American in its most true and deepest form.

    Doesn't matter this wont last the bill will be declared unconstitonal by the supreme court before too long and removed.. In the mean time they can go to a different state for their abortions

    good...if the baby has a heartbeat, moves, grows...it's alive...and should be allow to live people...if turtle eggs lovers can do it for whales and sea lions you can definitely do it for humans!

    God given rights at conception trumps humanities; before we are even born and deemed worthly by man to have rights, God gave us rights. If a women can't give up 9 months of her life to another soul, where would the righteousness in giving that women the gift of everlasting life be? Jesus could not make a case for her. Secular society has no business in deciding whether a soul lives or die.

    I therefore conclude that ABORTION is a PREMEDITATED killing or murdering of a child. The NUMBER of aborted children is EQUAL TO a "MASS MURDER" and that is EQUIVALENT OF a "MASSACRE". This gruesome dismemberment and butchered body of an innocent and helpless child is permitted by their "OWN" flesh and blood, EXECUTED by " Professionals" and was CO SIGNED by " Higher Authority". It was ESTABLISHED when People think they are smarter than God and continue to thrive up to this present time.
