Promoter to blame Jackson for own death

Michael Jackson's last concert promoter will defend itself in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the pop icon's family by arguing that Jackson was responsible for his own demise.

Child molestation accusations against Jackson, for which he was acquitted after a trial, and evidence of his drug addiction will likely be presented by AEG Live's lawyers as they argue that the company had no liability in his death.

Jackson died two weeks before his "This Is It" comeback concerts, organized by AEG Live, were to have debuted in London in the summer of 2009.

Hard to see the logic in blaming Michael when everyone said yes to the man. Imagine telling Michael Jackson No! for no other reason than ethics...

I imagine there were some little kids telling Michael Jackson "no" years ago, but it didn't do them any good.

Oh, nonsense. What is the Jackson Family thinking? Can they sue each other for MJ's death? Because it seems to me that they are at LEAST as culpable as the AEG Live is. What a load of hooey.

This article reads like a PR release from AEG. Was no one available to present the case for the plaintiffs? This is very disappointing. I hope future reports will be more balanced.

AEG is just releasing what its defense will be; obviously we already know the plaintiff's position: AEG caused MJ's death.
Not the good Doc, whom they already sued, and who is in prison...

Regardless of the actions of those around him, and in spite his great power as a performer, Michael Jackson is 100% responsible for his own death.

Agreed @ Joey. We are all responsible for our own actions, good and bad.

One thing that has slipped by most everyone, is the fact that as a Jehovah's witness Mrs Jackson isn't suppose to be bringing lawsuits against anyone... withnesses quite simply are suppose to forgive. She is violating her own congregations rules.
