Death penalty sought in theater shootings

Prosecutors said Monday they will seek the death penalty for Colorado movie theater shooting suspect James Holmes despite his offer last week to plead guilty in exchange for avoiding a death sentence.

    @ Mr. Dalloway, he didnt claim insanity as his defence. In fact he refused a physchatric eval uation so a death sentence is the right thing.

    @ Toady, this young man has shown everyone that he has no remorse for his actions. In fact hes very proud of what he did. So yes he needs the maximum sentence, which is the death penalty!

    A death penalty trial is very expensive and the sentence takes years to carry out. Tax payers and society would be better served by accepting his plea and quietly outing him away for life
