I believe it was right thr he was fired.parents would probably not want their kids going to a school were the coach is abusing the students on the basketball team. Violence is never the answer!
how many times can you punish a man for the same crime...the university may incur the liability of double jeopardy. apparently the university tolerated his coaching style and tolerated this workplace aggression/violence to win games. not in agreement with the media slammin' political motive, public re-hashings, and public firing, public humiliations. send the guy to anger/stress management classes...let him keep his job with the warning you'd already issued. rutgers you ain't right either!
If it were racist slurs that he screamed instead of gay slurs, would you feel at all differently?
Double jeopardy applies to criminal court cases.
If it were or a high school or middle school team, would you feel differently?
@@Rascal Rabble you know as well as I do that sending this coach to anger managment is a passive aggressive tactic. Fired, finished, kaput.....
so this is lgtb agenda...he was talking to straight dudes...which itsah a thing that straight guys do for wimping out and not meeting the mark...there was no h0m0sxual...
and for the record there weren't any racial slurs and there isn't a race called gays...the man was already disciplined with intent that he could return to his job and resume employment...only for to be fired for the same offense???...not a repeated offense...but the same offense! please, that isn't right!
I asked you a question. I have no agenda. Would you excuse it if racial slurs had been uttered instead?
nowyousee...youwannamix the oranges with dah apples...first there wasn't any racial slurs...from what i saw the man was equal opportunity on ball throwing, shirt grabbing chest shoving, "are you crazy!" in your face facial taunts...now ball throwin, shirt grabbing, and facial taunts are not protective activity under discrimmination definition
I asked you a straight up question. If the names called had racial undertones, would you feel differently?
Are you incapable of answering a simple question?
what you gonna make this stuff up as you go??? i believe the man was wrongfully terminated...not one player complained of ssxual harassment,, not one player said stop, not one player filed a eeo claim...the coach was already disciplined with the expectarion he could return to work gainfully employed! not to state that the university was familiar with his coaching methods and shouldah known his coaching methods for he didn't hide his coaching methods...so the university tolerated condone his methods...so you have disparity
...coaches bosses weren't fired
...the president of rutgers still has his
job...he need to get an attorney and sue...and as far as we know they weren't any gay guys on the team...if they were they did not complain!
Ahhhh! I see your logic. It's okay to call someone gay as long as they are actually NOT gay. So, what you're saying is it is ok to call someone the N word as long as they are not black, correct?
Oh! So as long as everyone kept silent, it's okay. Gotcha. NOW I see where you're coming from! Thanks, RR! You've enlightened me!
Look, RR, if it turns out that he actually was wrongfully terminated, he can probably a) get his job back, and b) sue for wrongful termination.
What I was actually wondering was something completely different, and your avoidance of the question told me volumes.
nowyah takin mywerds outtah contexts...you have no case...if there's no victim...also there isn't any complaint of racism here with this coach...there isn't a race on this earth known as gays...stop tryin to fabricate!
...besides i believe i saw a wh!teboy on court gettah a beatdown too!
My point completely escapes you, doesn't it?
noooo, your point is pointless...really a dull blunt...lol...
Then you won't be afraid to answer my original question: IF they had been racial slurs, would you have felt differently? lol
dang bani! you need to quit with the suppositions and let the ends of this blanket go...
Men often bring another mans masculinity into question as a way to get to that man...
It wasn't a slur against the gay community @ banasy
Ok. So it wouldn't have been a slur against the black community for this coach to have called someone the N word by that logic, correct? Just that particular student.
stick to the facts!
One needs to familiarize themselves with progressive discipline plans.
The fact is, the man should have been fired for knocking his players around. And as I stated before, a bigot in one area is usually a bigot in other areas, as well.
nottah bigot...aggressive coach going for dah win...baaaaabey!
You know very well men do it to other men all the time.
What do women do to another? They bring into question her beauty ...
Those slurs have nothing to do with the gay community and you know it...
Mary, a bigot in one area is usually a bigot in another.
Your excusing bad behavior enables it.
I would have to agree with dazzle ©'s asessment of the situation (he does have anger management issues, that's for sure) case cold
How can you agree with dazzle's assesement, when you just excused his behavior to me as a "boys will be boys" scenario?
no-ooh, his behavior was not excused he was disciplined: sent home!
Incapable of following a thread, RR? She just excused it previously. Focus.
i don't care....the facts is facts! nah, coach baby...now you go on in'ere and getchyah money...and tell'em rascal sentyah!
"Rascal Rabble you know as well as I do that sending this coach to anger management is a passive aggressive tactic. Fired, finished, kaput....."
For the *slurs* and physical altercation he does need to be fired
My point was, that men, when things get heated, will call others masculinity into question ... they know that's an Achilles' heel with all men of the hetro nature. Even when just in debate they do it...
Your making more of this those statements of the coach than is @ banasy
And no, I'm not excusing anyone's behavior, just saying it like it is
Mary. I asked one simple question of RR: would RR feel the same way if it had been a racial-based slur instead of a gender-preference slur. It still remains unanswered, and I was simply making a point, not making a big deal out of it....I see everyone seems to be incapable of seeing where I was going with this, so I'll just leave it to you guys to pretend that you don't know what I was talking about.
I wonder if Phil Jackson acted that way when he was coach for the Chicago Bulls, don't thinks so.
This was not an isolated incident...this happened MANY times. The film was a compilation of abuse by this coach. The man was fired for being an ass, and the two posters are are glorifying him are flat out wrong for embracing this coach's behavior.
not embracing...the man and his ass was already disciplined...what part of that yoo don't unnerstand?
There is evidence he continued after being disciplined, and none that he took the AM classes.
*in what reports I have seen and read thus far. And more people have resigned. Including the assist. AD. Why would they do that if everything was so kopacetic?
Poster banasy is correct. There are other sources for information. This man is far from blameless in his own firing. I also suspect that poster Rabble doesn't care about the names called because poster Rabble doen't like gay people. What needs to be understood is that whether gay or ethnic slurs, they invole abusive talk about people.
look "you people" need to on up to the truth...he was wrongfully terminated...further they are tryin entice him with a $100,000 bonus to accept this retirement under duress...funny how the very tape used to discipline him was leaked...the university discharged was defective ...plain and simple...
