Triple suicide linked to recession

An Italian couple burdened by their country's economic downturn hanged themselves, and the woman's brother - after learning of their deaths - threw himself into the Adriatic Sea and died, CNN affiliate RAI reported Friday.

Romeo Dionisi, 62, and his wife, Annamaria Sopranzi, 68, were found by neighbors in the coastal city of Civitanova Marche, and police told RAI that the family's financial difficulties led to the suicides.

Rescuers pulled Joseph Sopranzi, the woman's brother, from the water but could not revive him, according to RAI.

The problem in Italy is not the recession rather an agency called Equitalia which is going after all the people that owe money for municipal services which most is a fraud and a mafia run enterprise together with government

My adopted Italian countrymen, la gente piĂş simpatica del mondo, have long cast a resigned wink at corruption in high places.
I am very saddened that so much suffering exists amidst that country's great beauty and culture.

In my opinion, while @ the Prophet and @ Jeff Frank (ROTLF) appear to disagree about Equitalia, they are simultaneously correct.

"Devil is everywhere" & then a 'resigned wink'(well said) at corruption, idiocy, bigotry and assorted nonsense at high places has become a habit with us also.

Financial problems may have contributed, but other factors came into play. Besides, what good Catholic commits suicide?

They are following a failed religion (satan) – Only Islam is the right way. They would not have died if they were Muslims.
